    Turtle Beach X31s
Im thinking about getting these. Everyone in my house complains about my TV being too loud. I want wireless, and does anyone who has tried these and the X41s think its worth double the price ($200 as opposed to 100) to go with the X41s? Or is there another brand that makes a good wireless headset with a comparable price? I'd rather not go too much over $100 unless it makes a HUGE difference in quality.

I know way too much about headsets ;D. Let's hear a little more details. What's your price range? How about delicate objects? Why not wired? What do you want it for?

    well...
i would like it under or around $100, but thats somewhat flexible if more expensive means a big difference in quality. But then again, they don't really NEED to be that good, i play pretty casually. I need them cause i like playing with my TV loud, but nobody in my house likes that and i sometimes play pretty late. I would prefer wireless because theres already a ton of wires from various other devices where i play, and i just prefer to not be tangled in wires. But again, if it makes a pretty big difference in quality, im willing to go wired.

I have the original X3s and I love them. The long cords can get very, very annoying, but personally it's not worth the extra money for the wireless X4s. It's up to you though. And from what I've read, the X31s have a ton of improvements over the originals.

Bottom line: Definitely get either the X31s or the X41s. It just depends on if you want to pay for wireless.

I recently got the X31's. If you're some gnat that goes for prestigious quality, get the X41's. But overall, even going from surround sound speakers to stereo headset, I've noticed the X31's have amazing quality. And honestly how much of a difference is it from surround sound. The spacing isn't that greater.

Go with the X31 and save some dough. That's what I did, and I'm glad.

The X31s are wireless too, one of the main reasons i want them.

Essentially the difference between the X31 and X41 is that the X4 is somewhat surround, while the X31 is stereo. You're best bet for quality IMO is the Tritton AX Pro, but thats $150 and involves a ridiculous amount of wires. For a wireless solution, you've got it nailed down to the X31 and X41. The X41's got much better sound quality than the X31, but costs a good $100 more at $200. Here's the kicker for me at least: the X41 has cups that go around your ears, not on them. That makes a huge difference in ear comfortability (I wouldn't wear anything other than them by now). You can also get the older version of the X41, the X4, refurbished for $130 on their refurbished site. The new additions with the 41 are more or less inconsequential unless you really care about these little things, what you're going to want is those cups that go around your ears, if you play for any decent amount of time.

The X31's quality is pretty meeeehhh, and the X41 is pretty good. It's not a huge deal, though, I think you should be more thinking of the comfortability seeing from your post.

So, my advice? I'd go with the X41 if you possibly can, then X4, then X31. All are good options for wireless. :)

Edit: Guys, if you've used one headset you don't know what sound quality is...
