Can you post the original stock image/images?

Yeah so that way i can tell what the difference between regular and HDR is lol. It just looks like excessive color interference to me.

There is no original stock image. I took the photo. Or, photos rather. A HDR image is an image that has a higher dynamic lighting range than a normal image. It is able to capture a larger range of colors. It's made up of at least 3 exposures of the same image - one at 0, one at -2, and one at +2. These images are run through Photoshop or Photomatix (Photomatix is better) to mesh them together into an HDR image.

And Hari, there is no such thing as 'excessive' color interference. All light IS color interference. There are no levels of it; it just IS.
However, if you're referring to the light rays around the lamps, then I have nothing to say to you because I love light rays.

well in that case, you dont need photomatix. Just click file>automate>merge to HDR in photoshop ;)

Yes, technically you can. However, Photoshop doesn't have the ability to 'tonemap' your images to the extent that Photomatix does. Tonemapping is a complicated process that can have many different outcomes, so I can't really explain it. This site: Comparison Photoshop CS2/CS3 HDR conversion vs Photomatix Tone Mapping shows the comparison of tonemapping between Photomatix and CS2 (which has the same HDR stuff as CS3). It's clear to see that Photomatix does a much better job.

    (Nice try though)

Can we have some wallpaper sizes? :D
Looks awesome, by the way. Love the unique Halo to life feel.

Actually, I'd like to save this also. Great feel and I'm sure I could be able to make something out of it.
