Brief Overview Cyanidal Is a Symetrical 6-16 player game built on the Mid-level of Sandbox. I designed this map to be great for small or large games of the 3 main gametypes; Slayer and Team Slayer All Varients of Assault All Varients of CTF At the front of each base there is a Gravity Hammer Spawn, which can be useful when clearing out a base in Assault or Clearing the Flag in CTF. The Rocket Launcher Spawns South of the Oversheilds on the Diagram which can cause map control if the same player grabs both. The Sniper Rifle Spawns in the Southen Part of the Diagram with a View of most of the map. With a range of Vehicles you need a Counter attack for them so placed in the interior of the bases there is a Missile Pod, Vehicles may Orbit the map as the Areas can be close quarters. When Game begins a player has multiple options Head to the Rocket Launcher or Sniper, They could get to the Choppers and be taken-out up Rockets or a Missile Pod early on. Warthogs could take out light infantry but do not go to far into the front base areas. Or Grab a Mauler or Gravity Hammer to defend their base in Objective Gametypes. What I have noticed with CTF when the Flag Carrier has Passed over the main Structure its harder to kill them. That is why a Spawn Flag Away Area is opened up ot the center to counter this perfectly. I know the sides of the bases are pretty open but when a game is playing you hardly notice. Weapons 2 Brute Maulers located at Arches, 4 Battle Rifles located as Base fronts and Corners. 2 Covenant Carbines located at "Geomerged" Block doubles. 2 Missile Pods located at Base Interior. 2 Gravity Hammers Located at Basefronts. 1 Rocket Launcher Located at Center Structure. 1 Sniper Rifle Located at South Dunes. Vehicles 2 Chain Gun Warthogs Right at spawn. 2 Brute Choppers Left At Spawn. 2 Mongooses Back right of bases at spawn. Equipment 1 Oversheild North center structure 1 Bubble Sheild South Of center Structure. 2 Brute Spike Grenades Top of South main Structure ramp Past versions The map was first designed with a Spartan Laser Insted of the Rocket Launcher and 2 Sniper Rifles(0 Spare Clips) insted of the Covenant Carbines, this was before the Sniper Rifle Spawn was made. I had a SMG spawn insted of Maulers but I tested the map better with Maulers. Once the Missile Pods spawned on top of the bases(now the Flag spawn) The Chopper used to spawn Symetricly while the Mongoose spawned in the same place Asymetricly. In the early stages I had a Power Drainer spawn in each base. Their was a Brute Shot on top of the base. Removed for getting to points of advange.(Still possible with Grenades, but few spawn anyway. the map seems pretty cool, the bases are pretty cool and add better gameplay for capture the flag. Anyways i would take off some of the vehicles, i think they make it too hard on those who are on the ground.
Looks like your standard, two base, main tier map. It's simple, and looks like it would hold good gameplay. It's nothing groundbreaking, but it isn't anything completely unoriginal. Personally, I like it. I've always been fond of simple maps and this seems to be a pretty solid one. I'll download it and give it a go.
I know you just released this lol but i couldn't help making the far side of sniper spawn into an actual bridge. That way you can go underneath and you will have a more straight shot to opposite base. I'll post a pic later.
I agree with CaptnSTFU where this does remind me a bit of the default Sandbox map, but how it should have been. I like the multiple entrances to the bases and the options for infantry to stay away from those vehicles. I think that the balance of vehicles (two per base) is fine as long as their respawns are at least 120sec. The good old standard two base map. Always a classic. You sir, got a download! The center looks a little too hard to cross, deployable gravlifts and/or a ramp jump would help. You could also go a bit heavier on the weapons at least add a brute shot, but also some grenades and equipment (regen).
Lol your bases look like the default bases on roids. Anyways, it looks clean from the pictures with no major bumps or flaws. Also, the only thing that is kinda anoying is the large corner in the 6th picture (i think). I'm not exactly sure what I want there, maby just ghost merge 2 doubble blocks connecting to the what looks like ghost merged stone large collums and have the br resting on that. Overall, it looks nice enough for a dl from me *yay*
Oh on the contrary my friend: This is all i did, it improved gameplay giving teams the option to rush quickly or traverse the map slowly. But seeing as how their is a missle pod in each base going the fast way can sometimes not work out at all.

Adding that bridge will solve the "getting to the middle of map part" But yeah id say do a brute shot 90 second respawn, 1 clip mb 2. Also put 2 regen's mb where hammer's are cause the 2 hammers can be overkill for the map.
To increase use of budget and OLN you can replace ramps with merged double blocks, this should allow the folowing changes. Replace maulers with actual shotguns Add bruteshots by triple obelisks on overshield side Add grenades, since these are very helpful against vehicles. Change the side ramps to perpendicular so vehicles can go cross the bridge making it a "hill" rather than "wall" Remove the obstacles on the bridge so a warthog can get the hieght advantage but causing it to be exceptionally vulnerable to the missile pods. Possibly replace the wooden rails on the bridge with interlocked long wedges to give a more unified look.
