MLG ABC This is my first MLG map. It took me about 5 months to make... (I didn't use ghost merging) This map is set up for: -MLG FFA -MLG CTF -MLG TS Hope you like it. Feedback would be appreciated. Owner of this map... THIS MAP IS AWESOME!!! (Robot Chicken never lies) YouTube- MLG ABC Halo 3 custom map download here: MLG ABC
aesthetically, it isn't much, buy hey who needs aesthetics? ha ha anyways the crates need to be tied down, mlg standards say so, anyways ill have to play, but im sure it calls for cool gameplay
Your attention to detail in construction is really quite impressive; You've made creative uses of wall segments, pulled off precise merging and interlocking, and even managed to work doors in as functional pieces of geometry. However, some of the merges that've been done might be able to use cleaning up: For example, in picture #7, the double walls used to fill in the back wall of the map look a little messy. Perhaps using different pieces, like Bridges, or merging into the map's geometry could make the wall appear more clean. That said, the issues in merging are purely aesthetic, and don't need an immediate fix. Overall, it's a great looking map, and I'm certainly interested in seeing how it performs in-game! -=Moxus=-
I'm probably going to make a V2 and clean it up a bit. maybe even add some stuff if i can work around the money issue. Thanks for the feedback
This map looks alot like mlg onslaught/mlg Ons. It resembles it in the bases and the walkways the most making this map look almost like a remake. and yes keep crates tied down like patrick said, also we see you know how to merge it's just it is sort of sloppy which make the map very unattractive and giving weird grenade bounces which will also be a major turn off. i recommend editing this and putting more time and effort into it
Aesthetics are very important. I can't stand to play on a map that is too ugly to want to explore. The background to this map isn't much, and neither is the architecture/unique forging. There is decent forging, but that can't make up for overall another bland map. I'd recommend finding somebody to help you forge as you obviously have some talent but can't make good maps unless pointed in the right direction. This isn't flaming, it's constructive criticism. And P.S. The name needs a little work, too.
Very nice first MLG map, a lot of work and determination went into this map, much more than I could put down. Merges are smooth, the map looks like it flows very well, and you put a new, but most importantly, unique spin on the typical foundry map. Number 1 thing that every MLG map usually lacks is cover, and this is no exception. Top mid is essential for cover even for extremely open maps like Amplified. The one tower with a wall corner merged above it needs cover, even if it is just a wall in front of it. Finally top of each base could use just a tad of cover both inside the base and blocking off the outside. I haven't looked closely at this map but i'll give you some tips to make a successful MLG map: Spawns are extremely important, I really can't emphasize the importance of spawns in a map, i can either make or break any map, good or bad. When making spawns, but yourself in the players eyes. If I spawn top of my base what will happen to me or my opponents. Cover is also another important element and will be essential to a good MLG map. You have to think about every angle or play, making sure the flag runner doesn't have too much cover, when you spawn you have some breathing room to start your life, and you can be completely covered by the cover. Example in Picture #4 you have a fence wall as cover, this is a really inconstant object because to use as cover because it acts different with host/non-host and the fact that you can shoot through it, but the fences on the signs you cant shot through. To finish this novel of a review you need to put objects that people can use as call-outs, put Invis/OS/Custom for easy call-outs either on top of the bases or towers, signs also are really easy to utilize. Good luck in future Forged MLG maps, hope this helped.
