Woop Cerberus is winning After looking at what Zombie did in the front page map, the columns merged into walls just to show the gold and the colour makes the walls look 10x more interesting.. maybe we could do this on each of the snipe towers so people can call out Blue snipe 1 or Red snipe 3 etc... With it being symmetrical, it needs to have good call outs so team mates know exactly where the enemy are.
To say youve had 6-8 for the past few hours, Paladin has caught up considerably Yeah I noticed that too, and I have added something from one of the suggestions someone gave, they said to add gold columns, so I have, and it looks pretty sweet, and it will look even better once the area is done

nice one.. ive been quite eager to see how the sniper towers are coming along.. Have you still been going symmetrical with building? or are you focusing entirely on one side first?
Ive been doing one side then copying like 20 or so minutes later to the other side. Ill update in and hour or so like I said, its looking good now. Im just getting a 35 in doubles so it shouldnt be long.
The layout looks nice, unoriginal, but nice. As for the name, I don't really like either of them, use something more creative, and wait until the map is done to name it. Lastly, why would you merge those boxes half way like that? It is better to build your map one box heights off of the grid so falling is more realistic, so I don't see the point of you building yours half a box BELOW the grid.
You dont like either names? Could you suggest some, and im not naming the map yet, you guys are, and its not a definate decision yet. & I tried making a layout alreadt known but modify it so even newbies know the layout. Ahah, I have been playing alot of it, BTW uploading screenshot right now.
Im too lazy to read everything, so someone might said that before, but: Change the Ramp! Granades bounce right back in your face + wehen you come round the cornor youll see a wall in front of you, not a ramp.
Thats really hard to do sorry, id need to redo the whole area, I may consider it but im honestly not quite sure, ill test it a bit. EDIT: I tried coming round the corner and throwing nades, and its perfectly fine. It nocks of at around a 90 degree angle which in the space lengthwise and heightwise of the map is totally fine.
not sure what wall your talking about :S I've never noticed anyone in MLG attempt to run round the corner and just run straight into the wall.. that has to be a massive MLG fail if you ask me.. And as for the ramp, I think it looks fine. If it works gameplay wise, we might be able to tweak it a little to make it more aesthetically pleasing.
On the note of grenades and all that, i was going to say this looks so beast be sure that one has the ability to throw and bounce grenades at different angles to get kills. I know as an MLG player that i use precautionary nades all the time and the random cross map nades. So having a map where if i know that i can get a nice bounce in and kill someone is always a plus. That is why Lockout then Gaurdian are big MLG hits not just the layout but how well nade bounces and all that works.
Nades work especially well on the map, nice little off wall bounces and I loved guardian for the fact the doors were just the right height to aim at to throw a cross nade made, and that is working out well so far. All creases that nades would normally fall through are sealed, absoloutely everything on the map is interlocked. If a nade disapeers it is due to the coding, and it still blows up straight away.

k, sry ^^ The Ramp just looks very steep on the picture. I dont know if you ever played the Lockout-Remake, i forgott the name, but it had ramps that looked similar to yours and were way to steep, the ramps ruinied the whole map. since i fell in love with your middle, i didnt want a ramp to ruin the map for me ^^
Noooo as if everyones just voting paladin now :'( (back on topic) The ramp does seem a little steep, but i dont think when throwing a nade at it it will come backwards... Its against the physics unless you aim right in the crease at the bottom. It just means experience players on the map would know where to throw it to get the right detonation where as people who play the map for the first time may throw it like theyre playing on guardian If that makes any sense at all xD
