Ok, every map has a canvas somewhere on the Internet, but when you get these canvases, then forge them, do you have more money to forge it because of the deleted objects, or do you have the default money amount?

You have more money due to the deleted objects.

I want to add a glitch my friend told me about. Apparently once you exhaust your forge budget, there is a way to use about $20 more. **Shock Theta has been unable to recreate this trick, so it may have been a glitch, but the report came from a respectable source.**

He says: Use up your budget, then save and quit. When you reload, there is a short period of time when the game is calculating the budget or something, and it will say that you have $20 more than you had when you saved and quit. Let's say you place a $4 object. The budget will then reset to where it was. Save and quit again. When you reload, it will say that you have $16 more than you did before. Place another object. Keep doing this and you will be able to use an extra $20.

I have not tried this out for myself. Other people have reported that they were unable to recreate this trick, but I'll leave this post here in case anyone else wants to try it.

Bummer. I'll try to get more info from the guy that told me about it, and see if he has been able to recreate it. I edited my previous post with your new info about it.

Yeah, sorry about that. Maybe I wasn't doing something specific he didn't mention, or something glitchy was happening. I don't mean to discredit your friend, I don't see why he would lie about something like this. So I'm still hopeful.

Don't worry about it. I know that sometimes when I'm forging with other people, the budget and item count can do some weird things. For example, sometimes it will say that there are no teleporters on the map for the first 20 seconds of the game, even though I'm looking right at 5 of them. Maybe it takes a few seconds for the game to do accounting and whatnot. If we can learn to take advantage of those moments, it could be really cool.

Ah yes, I have experienced that with the teleporters, good example.

This is still a very worthy cause to pursue.

If we can figure out how to do that it would be G-R-E-A-T!

I use all but $1, save, then when I reload the map I have $16, it works 45% of the time

Hello everyone. I am Furious' "friend" that he is talking about. I discovered this glitch on a few of the maps I have forged, the most recent being Complex N-39.
If you download this map and start to delete objects you will notice that the first few you delete WILL NOT add back to your budget as they should. Obviously, because I used the glitch. I do not know how much it gives you or even if it's always the same amount. And unfortunately I do not know how to make this work. It may even be something that can't be forced.
Glitches are weird, you may just have to get lucky. But if you download my map you will see what I am talking about. It is my proof.

This is a detailed description of how the glitch works:
Sometimes when you load up a map you are forging, it will say that you have more cash than you really do. If you delete, or create a new object it will default you back to how much cash you really have.

For Example: You're forging a map and you only have $20 left in your budget. You save and quit, then load it up some other time to finish working on it. When you first load it back up, you notice you have say, $40 in your budget. Now if you were to place something worth $5, you will immediately see your budget drop to $15, which is the amount you should have. You see the game realizes it made a mistake and that you only have $20, not $40. So when you buy that $5 item, it drops you down to the amount you should have.

But now lets say you have $0 in your budget. Save and quit, and when you load it back up it might say you have $20 even though you don't. But you can use this "glitch money" to buy new stuff and go over your budget. But remember, as soon as you place a new item, lets say it's $2, the budget will reset to how much you actually have - $0. But if you save and quit then load it back up, your new item will be where you placed it and your "glitch money" will be $18. Keep doing this until your "glitch money" budget hits $0. And there you have it. You successfully went over budget on your map.

Now remember, I don't fully understand how this works, and it doesn't work all the time. I just know that sometimes it does and it really helped me out in the creation of this map.

I tried to explain this as simply as possible, but if you have any questions I will try my best to answer them.

Good clear description dude, this is what it seemed Furious was saying, but it's good to hear you couldn't do it every time, or I'd have been doing it wrong for sure when I tried. On the other hand I wish it worked every time!

Thanks again for letting us know about this, I shall try it out again!

Oh and I for one believe you, there's no reason you would make this up, plus you provide proof.. I trust and won't take a look to check. Happy day!
