I don't actually have any pictures up and running but these were created a while back. Watch the video for the previews, you get an overview of each and a view from the spectator boxes as well. Maps Vantage v2 Ruin v3 YouTube - Halo 3 Arenas - Vantage & Ruin basically, both maps are made inside the same arena walls. One spectator box is slightly off center so a wider view can be seen of the action. Also there is a teleporter that links both spectator boxes together so the viewers can see action from both sides. Vantage is just a basic BR battle map. Little cover and high starting points make the match a fair fight if both players skills are roughly the same. Ruin is more guerilla playstyle.. Hiding works for a few minutes if you want to ambush eager players but there aren't a lot of places to hide in. Hope you guys like it. If you want to use the same arena walls and design your own map in them.. feel free to do so
I'm sorry but at least one picture is required, however the community likes much more when you show us 4-8. You can use photobucket to host your pictures after you save them from bungie, then just embedd them... Otherwise this is likely to get locked.
I've never really been into 1v1 maps, but now I think I'm gonna start. You made these maps very well. They may not have taken long to make but they were definitely constructed professionally. Great job on the specatating windows. Keep up the good work.
When i started watching the vid, my very first impression was, "oh great. another square box filled with random crap." But after watching a little more I somewhat warmed up to the idea. It really is a true "arena" where two people can just duke it out and the more skilled player wins. Plus the forging is simple, yet top notch (the skyboxes are perfect!). Overall, I can see that even though these maps seem simple, you put a lot of thought and time into making them. However, the only problem i see with this is the fact that it will get old quickly (for me, at least). It seems that after one game it would just get boring. I don't really have any suggestions though, that is just my perspective on 1v1 arenas. But I'm not everybody. I will be looking for these in the maps section and will definitely check em out!
It looks really good, like said above me simplistic yet professional definitely good warm up map. I think you should take your skills to the sky bubble and make some br arenas where you can have 8 - 12 people play. I really dislike the foundry br arena its just to plain and you get team br'd alot lol. I guess im saying you could make some really badass ffa warm up maps so people can get their br/sniper warmed up.
This reminds me of a fight club I made. My friends will love it! Please P.M. me a link when you post it!
Lol unlucky dude. And thanks for the positive comments everyone, I wasn't so sure this would hit it off. It does come with its own gametype so 3 people can actually play. I thought I had it in my FS but, I dont. Basically, it has 3 rounds set and can only support 3 players. So each round, a new duel starts: Round 1: P1vP2 Round 2: P2vP3 Round 3: P3vP1. So everyone gets a turn at dueling and spectating. It was initially made for a tournament WSL (Wolves Summer League) my mate came up with and he asked me to make some maps and gametypes so we could have a little competition. That didn't go to plan but I still have all the maps. Ive edited original post with the maps you can download.
My first impression was that this was going to be another boring and badly forged arena map but this one seem pretty decent. You might want to change the center structure into someone more aesthenticly apealling to make it stand out more. Also, I don't know this song but its fricken amazing!
Lmao that would be Devildriver <3 one of my favourite bands. I assume your talking about Vantage with the center piece? Its designed to be more like The Octagon, So its more or less open field with just your BR. However, that would be pretty boring. So I added in the "Vantage" points and put in the two bridges in the center to add a bit of protection when the player enters the pit.
