Map Title: Gears An attempt to recreate the feel of GoW, includes gametype. Download Map Download Gametype Description: This is my first map to be posted on ForgeHub and my first attempt to recreate the feeling of matches on GoW using Halo 3. Some of the things you may notice is that I have removed all but two weapons The Sniper (sniper) And the Rocket Launcher (boomer) As for the gametype, I have both teams starting across from each other with the following features: *150% gravity *110% speed *Starting weapons are a shotgun and shotgun (the editor wouldn't let me choose spikers, more on that later) *300% damage resistance *no shields It is then a series of rounds (5 but of course that can be changed as you see fit) of elimination with no radar and the FX gloomy to give atmosphere (I also found adding a FX juicy to yield a nice effect too but this is up to preference) In addition, the starting areas start with 4 spikers (The equivalent of a lancer in halo 3). You might ask why I chose spikers. Well, not only does the ammunition look like it's from a lancer, but it also has a slightly longer range than the assault rifle does which I felt represented the Lancer better. Another question you might ask is where the pistols are. Gears of war had them, right? well, they had a problem where a single shot to the head would kill someone regardless of damage resistance (no shields). I do like that you have built a map with Gears of War in mind, but could you please change your thread title to just that of your map's name, that is just one of the rules here.
