Alright Hello GnA people, as some of you may know, there is a stock used in SOTW 49. I was fooling around with the stock and I got something I'd like to share, now I know I have a big fanaticism with POP-out sigs lol. so here it is, V:1 Spoiler V:2 I'm probably not gonna enter, I was just fooling around. Edit: I forgot to mention I couldn't find a good lightning stock/render so I made these on Photoshop. Edit 2: I don't like flashy effects that much so I just used the tools PS gave me...
O.O amazing! why wont you enter it?? i love pop-out sigs too! really, you should enter this, linu lets some sigs like this enter if it doesnt constrain to the size limits.. anyways, two complaints.. one is how dark his body gets.. i know you were trying to make it really defined but its a lil extreme IMO. and the second one is theres a smudge of darkness on his upper butt that extends into the pop-out zone.. probly shouldnt be there, and also theres a couple blur parts near the end of the sword in the pop-out area.. but those don't look too bad.. and you can barely see them on fhLight
Wow, anyone know a tutorial on how to make lightning like that in PS? I always fail. As for the sig, well done, I'd suggest changing all those colors on the spartan, though, they look all weird.
That's amazing, you have got to enter it. That's exactly how I imagined my entry would look like, but I couldn't cut the spartan out just right. How long did it take you? The green background did not cooperate with the green spartan very well...
Alright I decided to (attempt) post this in SOTW, and if some people want I'll make a tutorial for the lightning effect.
You could always just use brushes and add outer glow? lol. Not that difficult. Anyway, I think the sig is pretty good, except for that opaque piece off to the bottom left you missed aha.
Simple lightning can be made by opening a blank image and then clicking: Filter>Clouds Filter>Difference Clouds It's usually best to use pre-made lightning brushes though as they have a partial effect built in usually. OT: The lightning effect you did is cool, but a bit overdone. Also, having your render right up against the side of a pop-out signature creates bad balance.
