    Hey everyone

When I first got halo, was playing through the campaign. Everything was peaches and cream. I played until, I got through to the 6th level, 343 guilty spark. I played through, normlly as I would. Then I got to that part were you see the video/flashback. After seeing that, I literally turned of the xbox. I got so afriad of the flood. I guess the suspense builds up, huh. Just wanted to know, how many of you were first scared of the flood? =) Remember, this is when halo first came out.

When I first got my XBox, I got to the level "floodgate." I had one of those chairs that had speakers on the sides. It was freaky as hell, especially when they scream. Now, I actually laugh when they scream. I guess you eventually get use to it. By the way, which Halo game are you talking about?

Yeah I was like WTF is going on!? Then these little guys come out and I was calm after that until I saw a carrier form and combat human form. Halo 3's are really creepy looking too, you can chip off a part of the heads and see brains. The Brutes look like in so much agony too. And the elites, might as well throw the head back.

I was never really scared of the Flood until Floodgate. When I first saw all those Flood jump down and kill those marines and started infecting them it made my skin crawl.

I was terrified of 343 guilty spark because of all the noises. That combined with night and I was 8, It made me freak when they first appeared, but not bad enough to turn off my xbox.

Halo 1 came out in 2001, correct? If so, I was around 7-8 at the time and yeah. I can remember the day I played that level. My parent had already beaten level 5, so I went to level 6 and the first thing I saw was a big "Colliflower" beat running at me. I turned off the game and ran upstairs.

Did I mention I was playing my my grandpa's old house in the dark basement?

Well , everyone gets freaked out by that in the beggining. It was new to you and you don't always see a scary walking bubble.

To be honest, I was actually to a certain degree, afraid of playing the flood levels the first few times. But hell, I was like in grade 5 or something. I didn't get freaked out by the video, it's playing the levels that got to me.

I bought Halo 1 onto my 360 HDD. It wasn't scary, but if I'd have bought an xbox instead of a PS2 and played Halo when I was 11...

Oh, wow, I'm remembering that room on Halo with nothing but bloodstains and that one marine that is ****nuts crazy from seeing the Flood. Creepy. And that elevator on Halo 2, when the Flood start dropping from the ceiling, that was pretty wierd too, when played at 2 am with the lights out.

Yeah, same here. When I was five, I brought my XBOX over to my grandma's house, which gets a little scary at night, when my sister and two of my cousins were there, and we had a little sleep over. One of them brought Halo 1 and three more controllers, so we decided to play. We took turns doing missions, and lucky for me, I got to play 343 Guilty Spark with my 11 year old cousin.

When we got to the video part, I was super scared, because the lights were turned off and the suspense was building up from that level. I was so scared I ran out the room and 'ate dinner' for 30 minutes, and after that they finished the level. The next morning I laughed about it and wanted to play that level again.

I remember when I first got Halo CE I was totally fine until I got to the level with the index were you had to follow 343 while he opened doors. I was actually sacred of that level so much that I called my friend to come help me since I didn't want to fight the Flood alone. But the halo 3 flood are not scary at all there just really annoying now.

I was 13 my first time incountering the Flood. It was Halo 2's "The Oracle" (I didn't play Halo 1 until after I had H3)

I saw the dead bodies and didn't know what they were. My friend who had played before and was next to me kept telling me this was the "zombie" level.

I wasn't that scared of the flood for that level, I didn't understand how they worked at that time. Then I played "Sacred Icon"...

God Damn, the level was scary dark. And I finally saw just what my friend meant when he called flood "zombies." My first showdown against the human flood (after taking down the shield) scared the hell outta me. After wasting a good amount of time trying to BxR what looked like their heads, I was thoroughly convinced these guys were invincible.

Halo 3 flood are whimps. The halo one flood still scare me, even on normal. Their abnormal abillity to just stand up after rockets and shotty blasts scars the crap out of me!
