Possibility of new Armor?

FreshLegend, you appear to have dug a hole so deep you've worn your spade out but you still attempt to get further down.

There will be no new armour permutations in Halo 3 or ODST.

First of all ODST multiplayer is Halo 3 multiplayer.
Secondly, Bungie has stated that there will be no new armour permutations because the coding on the disc would not allow any new DLC armour.

I will edit this post with a source from Bungie.net. Then you can see you don't need to keep arguing that it might be a possibility and shut up.

Well still Bungie forcing some people to buy ODST if they want to play their favorite gametypes in Matchmaking. Theyre making some of the playlists to require that you have in the Mythic Disc, or something like that, that comes with ODST that has all the maps.

So my point is the New Mythic will not be on the Marketplace ODST Disc only, thus forcing people to buy that disc and have it inside their xboxs if they want to play matchmaking.

The phasing in of new maps to be compulsory over all playlists generally takes a good while, so even if new armour permutations were coded on to the ODST H3 Multiplayer disc, there would be a long period where many people wouldn't be using the new ODST disc for matchmaking, thus wouldn't be able to support the new armour variations. On this basis, and the fact that Bungie have repeatedly said that there will be no new armour variants (sure they have said stuff will happen in the past and then it has, but in this case, with the other evidence, I'm inclined to go with them) I really don't see it being possible, let alone happening.

 

This whole thread was basically a waste of time.

FreshLegend, my post was to convince you that Bungie will not release DLC armour and to provide sources from Bungie you seemed to want so much (I don't care if it was you or your friend, its still the same account. So the "you" refers to who ever wanted the sources).

Seeing as your responce to my post was not about DLC armour and you have stopped going on about it, I would not say it was a waste of time. My post was a success.

Now this thread can sink and die.

 

I hope they make new armor because the original armor right now is getting boring. But I'm wondering would it be sold as a set for like 800ms you get a let say a destroyer elite set or just a helmet? Just wondering.

That question alone defeats the whole purpose of this entire thread.

 

I think ODST needs some more characters from out of the game, for DLC. Halo 3 could use some armor because the current ones are getting boring. Maybe put the ODST armor in Halo 3 for free.
