Could anyone tell me how to get rid of the whiteness around the edges?

I see what your saying. I don't think color select would help you much. I suggest just doing it pixel by pixel. Select the Lasso tool and have it set to add. Then zoom in and start selecting the white parts. Once you do that just click delete on the keyboard. If you need any more help just tell me. How did you get that white outline in the first place?

Well if wouldn't be there if i had drawn in up in Photoshop in the first place. But i used a marker then scanned it in lol. I've tried burning the highlights around the edges. That helps a little but i can't get rid of the rest. I could always do it pixel by pixel with a brush or something, but i wanna find an easier fix for future reference

Just get a really small like 1px or so eraser tool and go around the whole thing. It wont be easy, but youll get it. The color select EGP mentioned is Select>Color Range>highlights.
It probably wont work for such a small selection area though.

Sometimes the best banners are better hand drawn. That's pretty cool for being hand drawn. When I made all the buttons for xforgery, I usually had problems with white outlines. My way of fixing it was what I mentioned above. Using the lasso tool and selecting it pixel by pixel, that way you know you have it done perfectly. If you use a 1 pixel eraser is sometimes becomes a hassel because it erases more than it should. Hard to explain, but it lowers the transparency of pixels around a pixel you erase.

Yeah i know what you mean, EGP. That's what i had to do on this picture:

It took longer to get rid of the white edges that it did to draw the thing!

But I'm hoping to find a fast and easy way to do it, because i plan on drawing lots of pictures like these.

CaMOfo, how would you fix it?

I'm using GIMP. So I would use the Free Select tool, which is the same as the lasso. I just drew around it and copied the interior and re-pasted it without the white... if that made sence.

Yeah that made sense, but I'm working with a fairly small image so its difficult to select only the white

I'm pretty sure I fixed it, but you might need to round out the edges of the 0.

I like that one better than your first attempt. I tried to fix it, but now the white pixels won't even show up unless i post it. weird. Alright, Hari, lets see what you can do. I'll just end up using whatever one comes out best for the banner
