    This is Friedhof, those of you that are active here on forge hub know that there is an infection map contestgoing on, or to be more specific; a save one bullet map contest... This is my entry.



    Basic Info:

    Games typically take around 2-6 minutes making gameplay very fast paced.Once zombies pick up to around 3 or 4 don't wander alone.Upper area is better to use pistol, while lower area is better use shotgun. Zombies can spaw anywhere on the map, including the upper level... basically if you're not there, they will be.

    The layout is extremely easy to adjust to, it is bsically a large square with a smaller one set on top of it.





    Weapon Loadout:

    While the map is made for Save one Bullet specifically, it still has weapons on it to support other types of infection too!



    Details:

    Friedhof is my very first infection map that I have made, and looking back at it I am very proud of myself. Its name (Friedhof) comes from its setting, which is a graveyard hence the german word for cemetary comes into use seeing as most myths about creatures that are considered "Halloweeny" come from europe and a few from germany itelf. Being a personal fan of survivalistic modes on games I always have liked infection maps that are impossible to camp on as they show that the fittest will survive.

    Nice. You hit the eery nail on the head! I mean, it looks scary! lol. I know it's meant to be a graveyard, but it kind of reminds me of an abandoned prison, with the courtyard and cage doors lying around.
    But yeah, on first impressions, it looks awesome. Ima download it now and probably get back to ya with some gameplay feedback.

    Yeah it, actually does look like more of a abandoned prison. It definately looks scary though. I'm liking that graveyard area, but the upside down scaffolding doesn't seem to fit in my opinion unless you had an original purpose of what they once were or just cover. Doesn't retract from the map at all though. Props to you, Chaos, I'll be sure to check this out tomorrow.

    The scaffolding is meant to be old, broken pieces of fences. Don't really see how they could look like anything else to be honest...

    Also, they serve as a secondary way to get to the sceond floor for zombies (jump on one, jump to 2nd floor). They give even less cover than you'd think, so no to that.

    Thanks, I worked pretty hard on this one, I even set it up for slayer, oddball and koth (The spawns may not work good though) I wouldn't really suggest that over infection though.

    I've had a forge through and then had a game with a few friends. I love the rooms on the bottom floor and the connections from the grave stones to the upper floor was really fun for the gameplay.
    If anyones played oblivion before, you can see that you've tried to make those shelve things that coffins lay on, and that looked awesome! There were no camping spots and it was really fast paced. It's a really good infection map :)

    From what I see of the map it looks really good but I cant see much at all, could you retake the screenshots without filters on? You should only have the filters on for action shots and points of interest with the filter on, such as dark corners etc.

    Ill edit my post if you update with some new pictures :)

    Yea, I'd also like to see more pictures... It looks really nice aesthetically.. but I'm worried about how it plays with 10+ people. I'll take a run through and see how big it is.

    Edit: I guess it's... medium/smallish size.. :/
    It's also really really dark.. even with my screen settings at its highest..
    But I like how everything's just flows together and has a really spooky sort of feel to it.

    Is this what you've bin working on? I thought you were doing a collaboration with those other few guys. Oh well, this looks great for infection. I love how its dark but not so dark that you can't see anything. It's hard to tell the size so I'm going to do a run through to see if it's big enough for a lot of people. Great Job RC. - 9/10

    Loved it haha, man those games were so fast Overkill ftw lol. Anyway this map is really great, i love fast paced infection and that is what this is. The aesthetic value is also amazing. The zombies look extra terrifying with the filters on haha. We played with about 6-7 people and went both ways, some times everyone got turned real fast other times we pwnd zombies haha.

    This is a must download, i recomend it to everyone and 5/5 RC my fav infection map to date, well other than my current one haha.

    hey I remeber being in one of the testings. Unfortunately i got boot out and played on the map by myself. I thought it was great. The interlocking wa close to perfetion and the gmeplay was complimentary to the environment. however, I was wondering if there is a way to get through the gate thing. Does anything spawn behind it?

    I would have added more pictures were there more points of interest that were not copied over on multiple occassions (such as the corners)
    If I removed the filters it wouldn't look good, believe me. I wanted to do that but things just didn't look the same at all. Also it should be just dark enough that you can't tell the grass is green, if its not recognizable you should brighten your screen settings.

    Personally, I liked the old light set-up, but I digress.

    12 person infection played much better than you would expect. The humans start off very good, than one dies, than another, and then you're all dropping like flies.

    FFA slayer can also be a lot of fun. However, the shotty is just a little overkill.

    Also, I personnally recomend "Friedhof (Dawn)". I was testing MLG Zombies on that and it played great.

    Yeah, I'll put that back on my fileshare in a minute, I had to make changes when I made them to this though. (Just minor stuff.)

    That my good sir, that is what a fun infection map should be like. Of all the times I tested it, I heard nobody complain about anything... It surprised me a lot, but not as much as how well 12 actually plays on it.

    I wouldn't doubt 12 would play awesome i wished we had had more than just 8 that night we played.

    Yeah, I hope nobodies had any problems with the map for any reason. There do seem to be a lot of longshore and cave maps being entered... I just hope mine being out of those two catagories will earn me some bonus points (figuratively) or at least get a thumbs up for creativity.

    I really enjoyed it Reigning, trust me. But with all my friends in the game with you urging me to leave and start another party, I couldn't focus on the gameplay factors. The humans would spawn, try and find a place to camp, but find no place at all. I know camping tends to be annoying in Infection games. But when it all comes down to Save One Bullet, camping is neccessary. I like Friedhof because at every place you think you could camp, you can't, because there is always another entrance. Maybe it was the lag, or maybe it was the map. But I could never kill a single zombie. It would just turn into the zombies killing the humans just like that.

    I don't know any way you could fix this. But I guess Friedhof passes in Aesthetics... I dunno about gameplay though. Maybe adding another floor would have done the trick? Because I spent most of the game trying to find out if there was anything else in the map.

    That game was pretty laggy I kept getting bulltrues from the grave, so that probably was the issue (I hope). Anyways, then games afterwards were fine and the fact that there aren't any real camping spots makes it so you have to work as a team to camp (like all the people that hid in the cubby holes ones game, it didn't work either)

    Teamwork is crucial on the map, without it or communication, you are dead.

    There's a little too much unorganization in the middle, and some hallways need to widen, but for the most part it's an excellent map. It sort of reminds me of Zombie Asylum, which is a good thing.

    Too much unorganization? Believe me, the map was planned out for a while, if I hadn't wanted it like that it'd be different. And in all respect, the only way I'm goint to get the hallways wider is by budget glitching.

    Lolz yeah that didn't work at all we killed like what a zombie before we got overrun, still it was fun as hell. Oh btw RC if your gona plan a v2 and maybe try and squeeze in another story hit me up i'd love to help man.
