Silent Caverns Silent caverns is my first attempt at making a good infection map. As soon as I learnt how to ghost merged I started on this project and I am very, very happy with the results. It is set up for the Save One Bullet infection gametype. Description Silent caverns features many tunnels, twists and turns. I wanted to make a map where the infected had a chance to sit back and wait for their prey to pass by them before they would pounce, meaning the humans had to be on their toes at all time. It is designed to have fast paced gameplay with short, but eventful rounds. Ahhhh, so this is the one you made. Well thankfully mine is still really different from your and Joe's ideas. This does look really similar to his, but has a completley different atmosphere. This is really great looking and good luck in the Hub of the Dead contest!

This is REALLY cool(lol) but i would like to see an outside view or like an arial view of th whole map
Cool, this is (I think) the third cave map I've seen made for the competition so I'm not sure about how original they're going to take the idea but this certainly does look good, it probably would feel more "cavey" if you used colorblind and juicy but I understand 30$ is a hard hit to the budget, I had to do it though otherwise mine felt lame... Anyways it looks like I have some competition other than dark creek now.
its funny how these two cave maps came out at such similar times. Im not suggesting by any means that you stole the idea, this came out to quickly after to have done that, its just wierd that two came out on the same day. Anyways, i really like your map, it doesnt have quite as good as an atmosphere as cold cave, but it makes up for it in other ways, like it seems a lot bigger. It also has more things in it to make it feel like a cave, like the mine remains and holes in the ceiling. Im giving this map a 5/5
Ok, I gave this a runthrough in SoB and it seems like humans will have an easy time camping out at the end where the firebombs normally are, if there was a tunnel that connected it to the room with the wooden enterance it would play better seeing as humans couldn't have their backs to the wall owning zombies. Just a thought.
You mean "hidden" room coming up into the last room? You know, that's actually a really good idea! Really, thankyou, ima see what I can do with the budget I have left.
I really like the idea of this map but their was one thing that made me delete it. The size. From the fork their was only 3 diffrent paths that one could go through. Overall it's pretty good just too small for my tastes.
I like it alot but the don't ya think you could have done a more intricate extra tunnel and kinda hidden that way humans wouldn't have clue what was coming.
Yeh, but the thing with infection maps is the humans wouldn't know what was coming for 1 round. After they've experienced it once they would know what's coming anyway so I just decided to connect the last room with the tunnel as well as I could with the budget I had left.
Yet again another cave map, I grow tiresome of posting about how awesome they are. What's the difference between version 1 and 2? You didn't even mention the changes in your post.
Its sad but I thought that I was the only one who would make a cave when the contest was announced. I however am the only one with a distinctive feature, but now I don't know how the originality factor will play out. Its graded on aesthetics and gameplay right? well, hopefully the multicave thing isn't a big deal, I do like your map though. I am really nervous about the playout of this map though. with a built floor, you saved a ton of money, and that is probabolly the deciding factor. I'd say it would be down to you, me, and RC or something, just because I think ours look the best. and prolly play good too. Octo-Ocho may be a surprise, but I am doubting the infection idea for a giant squid.
Could you do a slayer and flag version ? Because play infection in tunnel its great but doing slayer in tunnels its sickies !!!!! So do a slayer and ctf version and i will download sure me and all my friends !
