The Church recommended for 6-10 players Game Variant Map Variant Other L4D levels that use the same game variant: RooftopFinaleV2 Description: The church is a recreation of Left 4 Dead’s Church crescendo event. This map sports the same layout as its left 4 Dead counterpart. The gametype used on this map does it’s best to recreate the same feel of the original Left 4 Dead game. Gameplay is fast, and interesting for both sides to play. More info on what the gametype is, and how you could build for the same gametype, here. I usually don't replay to anything other than minigames or maps I've tested, but this looks awesome. I love the minimap you used for the zombie spawn system so they know where they're entering. It's just so epic and tiny. The game itself looks really fun too. I think I'll like it more than the rooftop finale, considering the humans are much more confined then they are in that game.
Not happy face! I wanted to help test with u guys!!one! Anyways, I love it! When showin me this half-way done, i was quite impressed. I am wonder if those are starting points or respawn points in front of the church? Congrats on this one.
If anything made this map really made it feel like L4D, it would be the hill the map is built on. Would've taken ages if you had built it on a hill made out of say walls(that was your original plan, right?) and you would not have ad the same results. The first time I saw the church, I was pretty astounded; especially by that roof. Although gameplay on this map is a bit more confined, there's more of a danger of being assassinated, and you don't have as much freedom as the Rooftop Finale, but this is still a great Left 4 Dead remake nevertheless, and definetly the better looking of the 2 maps you've made. I think you should have made part of the church's roof destroyable so the zombies can come in through the roof. Don't know if that would've made the game more fun, but it sounds kinda like a cool addition..
I actually was planing on making this but I guess you beat me to the punch. Nice remake man, even got the piano in! I'm defiantly going to download this and probably get back to you.
In the 2nd screen shot is that the shed down there? Can you go in it? It looks like its closed off. Oh, and a brilliant remake of that climax. 5/5
Aww, MetaWaddleDee, all you used was EH3ment, not anyone else! I helped him test this game with about 8 other people or so and I have to admit, the gameplay wasn't very good. The looks are amazing, don't get me wrong, but there are so many places to camp! Why do they camp? No, not because they are noobs but because if they do anything else they are instantly killed. Zombies come out from everywhere and are shot (yea, shot) right into the building. Sure, you have overshields but with the ability to assassinate you have no chance. The zombies need to have much less health, at least. Don't want to give a rating because I'm too lazy to change my rating if you change your map.
+ The church is great looking + The graveyard was pretty sweet - If you throw a flame greanade at the grav lift, you can get out of the map. - The rounds felt too short (mind you I was playing with only 4 people so that wont factor into the score.) Score: 6.5/10
i didnt realize that picture with all the zombie spawn points shows where the zombies enter on the map. Thats pretty genius, ive never seen a map do that before and thats gotta make it easier for the zombies when they know that
I looked over a film clip I had, and its coincidence that it was Ell3ment twice. "So many places to camp"? There is only one, the house and in the real L4D staying outside was a big no-no. The zombies are only "shot" into the house because in L4D there were some zombie only doors, which are done in halo by placing a gravity lift in the window. And about the assassinations, there is absolutely no way to fix this, to make them less common I gave the humans 25 meter radar. Also giving the zombies less health would make the game severely unbalanced against the zombies. I have no idea what this means Thanks for pointing out the gravity lift problem, I have already updated the map to fix this problem. I only posted this comment in orange because I couldn't change the color to the regular Forgehub color.
The setinal beams for zombies doesn't seem fair AT ALL, You should fix that(give 'em lame weps like magnum).
The map link was broken when i tried, and i tried about 3 times over the hour So here is the link, i went to your file sets to get it. Bungie.net : Halo 3 File Details
Thanks, the top link was working... but not the bottom one. Is it still broken for you, because it works for me now.
just send me a link, i tryed to DL from my link but it kept saying pending, downloading, pending. i waited like 10 min
Wow, I totally forgot you made this! The mini map for zombies is pretty unique and very helpful once you figure out what it is. I still wish there was a better option than the sentinal beam for the smoker class, but it's pretty much the best bet. Wasn't there another L4D style map you made with a gas station theme, or did you just scrap it? Either way eeally good job on this one meta but one question still remains, which way do i have to look at it for it to make Fronk?
