Okay, so i have been an avid forger since i bought Halo 3. I have created a few maps here and there and just recently came up with a really cool idea that i do not wish to abandon because of the Item limit. I have been using a UBL- or unlimited budget glitch map and finished half way through only to realize that there was also an item limit to the map. I agree with the fact that mabye to many objects in a map will create lag, and thats okay, but what i don't understand is why there has to be a limit inflicted upon the gamers who really enjoy playing with the forge game. Think about it, isn't the point of a video game to be entertained. Right now, i beleive that it would be more fun if we weren't limited to the amount of space we have on these forge maps. If we truly didn't care about lag, as a player i think it would be my decision to make that decision. Is there anyway that we can pass this limit with some kind of Unlimited Glitch Map, or UGM? I really have tried passed this i have, but it gets very frustrating you know. If anyone could just tell me some ideas as to what can be done i feel able for a compromise to shorten my map. Oh, and i just feel limited and without many options thats all, it's not like i don't enjoy forge, i really do! Yet, i just cannot explain how much i beleive forge mode makes Halo 3 as popular as it is. Thats my opinion.

There's absolutely no way Bungie could make forge as "unlimited" as you'd like. It'd be way too much for the game engine to handle, which is the exact reason there are so many limits. You should be thankful Bungie gave us as much as they did.

If Bungie let everyone forge as many items as they wanted and whatever weapons they wanted, there would be a lot of lag. What they're doing is helping us more then it is hurting us. However, I think that bungie needs to add downloadable content that brings more of a variety of objects to forge, especially in the original maps like Valhalla and Gaurdian.

The thing is, entertainment is the point of a video game. Bungie's view is that players don't want lag and no lag is more important than having a huge map which you could barely play online because of lag. They think, and quite rightly so, that less lag=more fun.

Understandable, yet frustrating. I beleive it's up to the player to create what he wishes. Know however, I accept the limitations and try to keep ideas more compact and simple and also less complicated for switches. Like, i think of a map based on the limitations like the 180 switch rule, (when you make a switch that doesn't appear, but HAS to after 180 seconds instead of just not appearing.) the item limit rule, etc. But yes, i am aware of the lag, that doesn't seem to bother me at all.
