Helms Deep

    Me and my friend spent some amount of hours making this map, love doing it and it happened to bring me here.

    The map is a spin-off of Helms Deep from Lord of the Rings, and is intended for sword fights, and sieges.

    This is a very early release and it isn't completely done at all. If you have any ideas for improvement by all means please take it amongst yourself to do it, I'd just like to keep some credit, that's my only wish. If this is the wrong forum then I apologize, please move or delete as you wish.

    I currently don't have a picture but there is a small front gate in front of the tower with the weapons. It's blocked off by a box and some fusion cores and to open it you need to break the fusion cores with your sword or Grav hammer. This is suppose to be like from the series.

    The basic rules are that you aren't able to fire the weapons on the vehicles. The Wraiths are suppose to be used as some type of siege tower, that you ride on and jump onto the wall when you get close. Hopefully, with more work on the map it could turn into being able to fire the wraith turret as a bombardment type of weapon.

    The banshee is suppose to be a Fellbeast. Again, you're not allowed to fire the weapons on the banshee just fly around hitting people.

    All questions, suggestions, ideas, comments, critiques and whatever are gladly accepted. Even if you think I should just give up.

    Telling people what to shoot and what not to shoot generally doesn't work well, unless the people you play with are extremely obedient.

    And btw Helms Deep has been done to death on other levels, so I don't know if Avalanche will make it any different.

    You're absolutely right about telling people rules like that, it is almost impossible. Especially on a game that requires such a high amount of people.

    I pretty much noticed it half-way through the map so I just wanted to get it out and see what people thought, maybe if some good ideas came up it could be what I thought it would.

    Yeah, I don't think people are going to listen on the part about not shooting the vehicle weapons. I like the concept though.

    i have suck a trigger finger that when i enter any vehicle i start shooting immediately

    how do you make the gametype?
    i want to play the map with the correct gametype
