so i started a map, using the original object on sandbox, and as I'm sure some of you know, they have some funny characteristics, such as when you tell them to not be placed at start, they just laugh at you and show up at start anyway, and just can't manipulated until they actually spawn. Anyway, at this point i kind of need a few of them to not be there for a short period of time. so i guess the question is, is there anyway around this, or am i screwed?(yay, so manny options :happy
place them to not spawn at the start and then place that time higher than 30 seconds. they only laugh in your face for the first 30 seconds, after that they behave and do what you tell them.
= ( you know, i actually though to try that, but then i was like: "no, that wouldn't make sense, and i don't want to wait that long" **** you bungie. **** you. thanks though. you saved me...well, only like half an hours work, but i appreciate it none the less. Thanks.
No problem, it took me a while to figure this stuff out on my own. And if you move an object from its first spot when you start editing, if you move it then tell it to not start at the start, it will go back to its original placement from the very start of the game.
yeah, i found that one out on my own. or maybe it was from the original ghost merging video. doesn't matter. though, related question: do you, or anyone really, know why this happens?
I think it has to do with, somehow, if something in matchmaking went wrong, or got hacked, Bungie would have a fail safe.
interesting. Anyway, thanks a lot. You know a hell-of-a-lot more then i. Thanks for spreading the wealth. XD and now back to forging.
Its because bungie doesn't like stuff dissapearing in matchmaking from lag so they made it so it wants to always be on the map.
yea i had the same problem and it took me forever to figure it out but i finally did after messing with settings and stuff for along time
