New game type idea infection

    i just had a random idea for a game type for infection and i want some feed back what if you made is so that humans had to pick a class at the very beginning of the game they had unlimited ammo and a few other things i haven't worked out yet but the zombies would all so pick classes the humans would have to pick like CQC,sniper heavy, assault and maybe a few other things and the zombies would have a few dif classes but the main partt is the human classes do you think it would work.

    So in essence TrenchWars 1918 but for infection? Interesting concept... I'm not quite sure how it would work though. It would certainly make it different from most of the other infection variants out there as you could have a variety of different zombie classes, which I like. If you wanted it so that the zombies could not change classes after the beggining of game (ie pick up any dropped weapons), you could place the "zombie class weapons" next to a custom power up which enables weapon pickup for 5 seconds, or whatever period of time you feel suitable. The custom power up + weapons would probably have to be set to either instant respawn or 10 seconds as it would be annoying for zombies to wait ages to be allowed to pick a class. Also, for the actual map I'd recommend that the weapons be put in "boxes" where the player cannot be shot from, and they could possibly go through a teleporter or drop down onto the actual map (but this may prevent camping, so you'd have to execute it well). You could do the same with humans, but keep in mind that there are only 4 custom power ups available for use, so maybe the humans could have weapon pick up enabled for the entire round (but this would also enable them to use the zombies weapons). Overall, I think that it's an interesting concept, but very similar to others which have been done beforehand (usually for team slayer)...

    I think this would be better off as a VIP gametype, the humans would pick a class ONE time(unless they commited suicide) and if they died they would get infected, and the classes really wouldnt help after that...

    yes i no this but it would challenge the humans to use all dif weapons and they will have a set role in the survival of the survivors so if every one grabs a shoty they are good for the up close but would get raped by the long ranged zombies it would be just a bit different im kinda working on a map i migh use the idea but idk

    i think its a good idea and would put a new twist on infection but there are also some flaws with it like what viet honor said
