I just made this semi awesome(First) Signature for my profile but I have no clue how to upload it. Do I have to change the file type? I never even thought of that till now.

save it as a JPEG, then upload to image shack or photobucket, and paste the [IMG]

Jpeg compression leaves artifacts, for sigs I prefer png because they are small enough that the file size will still be small, jpegs are good for templates etc. that are gonna be on the web and big, otherwise it's png all the way (gifs only for animation, only having 256 colors sucks)

Use a PNG and photobucket. After numerous attempts I found its the only way to keep the quality close to normal.

Yes, even a high quality JPEG is worse than a normal PNG... so just use that. But which is better guys, Imageshack or PB? I use imageshack because they don't get deleted... and why do you use the one you use? (Looking for advice here, still on topic, though)

Photobucket for sure. The ads aren't as abnoxious, and the account you get it better. Also, it has some tools for fixing up you photos, which tend to be betterthenimageshack quality when you upload them. The uploader is very much faster (at least for me) too.

PNG or JPG on max quality is pretty much the same, except PNGs are a little smaller and can be transparent. PNG ftw.

We know... just debating over PNG/ JPG, and I guess I started it. Sorry... but yes, as the majority says: PNG to photobucket.

And ak1, well, I guess that is fine. I like imageshack just fine. I just though tPB deleted stuff because I always see the "This image was deleted or removed by Photobucket" thing... maybe it's just a co-winky-dink...

And opo, I don't care about ads (Adblock plus FTW), but faster uploads sounds good. Thanks, I will try it out.
