having never played video games before december/january - i liked it. i don't know much about the changes but from a graphic designer point of view, this map is very pleasing. playwise it works, but getting pretty close to not. a little bit confusing but it all flows pretty well, so i like it.
Hold on there bud! Never before december? Like, never never, or never halo? Cause if you haven't even played video games, even the N64 Goddamn it! You were missing out... I'm not that much of a couch potato, but i enjoy video games every weekends, and when i feel like it
i said nay to this map because i think the map is just to small and the fact the jumps and things like that are smaller. but all in all i like all the new items.
How did I know that all the hardcore Lockout fans would ***** about this remake... You'll get used to Blackout soon enough, you can't expect Bungie to put in the exact same map that it had in Halo 2. There are obviously going to be minor changes to the map because of the changes from Halo 2 to Halo 3 (ie. equipment). Having played custom slayer on this map for about an hour I can say that this is probably the best Halo 3 map right now. Stop whining about the fact that Bungie cannot put the exact Lockout into Halo 3, this is a great map, whether or not it plays like the Lockout we know from Halo 2, you will in time get used to it.
I like this map. It almost felt like home when I played on it. Sure they tweaked it a little, but they had to.
the only thing i dont like about this level is that when walking down a straight walkway it feels like youre going so slow because they made the walkways SUPER wide
i preety much liked this map, I only played for a bit, some Team Snipers, but it was still preety bad ass, just like the original. only complain i have is that it has too many distractions, the lights are too bright, Lockout in the other hand was just plain ol blue hue colored. easy to spot people. Maybe its just me who wants to stop and look at all the gizmos around blackout though
I didn't like this remake. Bungie really did make it a little bigger, maybe too big. I remember the small area at the sniper tower, it was great for grenade strategies.
Yay. I've been waiting for a Lockout remake ever since Halo 3 came out. Sure, there are some minor differences. No one complained about the changes in Blood Gulch when it was in Halo 2, did they? All remakes are going to have changes, don't expect an exact version of the older map.
it should be the exact remake of the map unless there are improvements there are noimprovements to be seen yet
Even with its slight change, i still deem it my favorite map, sure i miss all the "tactical jumps" and alot of jumps had been noobfied, but to me its still a great map to play on.
Lol... nope. First match I did on it was a custom. My friend and I were killing each other, and I'm just like "Hold up. I haven't looked at all the stuff yet..." So we stopped and looked around for like 5 minutes. Lol... Then, I veiwed each map and just did assualt on Blackout so I could shoot some hoops. Lol... when you time the bomb melee just right, you can "dunk" the bomb. IT was fun... But as I said, it is a big ol' yay from me. It looks better, plays pretty much the same, bla bla bla. So yeah, great map/ map pack.
So, i just played this map earlier today for the first time. It sucks!@!@!@!@! Graphically, i love it. But playbility (is that how you spell it?) - wise, it sucks. This expresses my opinion, so don't reply badly at this trying to be cool and all. You'll fail.
Your opinion fails......... ....jk although I still think you need to play it a bit more, actually since I read you haven't played lockout you need to play it a lot more and figure out the layout. Right now its probably just to confusing for you.
