Okay i know there like what bungie fav's or w/e but everyone except Tribal War and Elysium (that i have played) has sucked eggs. Sloppy looking, things not even interlocked, its just like okay you have 2 good forgehub maps on their why not add more????? It's just aggervating being a member here and seeing this crap get used in mm even if it is just for hte 7 on 7th.
My map is in there, just havent seen it. Then again, I havent really spent many hours in the playlist.
Yeah i know there are some "good maps" but the fact that you play the crappy ones more than the good ones is irritating.
While yes there were a lot of poorly maps maps, there were a handful of good maps. But i found that some of the maps that were forged well played worse then some of the others. But i did see a few interesting structures that have inspired a few ideas for a map I am currently designing.
i said i only played 2 that were from the site so far. I know there are more, and btw nubs on a great map like Tribal War = epic fail.
Today was the first time i played on Tribal Wars i didn't even know it was a FH map. I loved that map. But sadly I had a team full of noobs. Does anyone know what the name of the Skybubble map where you spawned inside the Tube Y-intersections, and it had a center with 4 walkways coming out like an X center had a grav lift, and column walkways on the bottom? I thought it was interesting but forget the name. Not a bad map overall but seemed it only had 2 spawn areas for each team, inside the Y pieces. Atleast they're the only spots I spawned the couple of times i died that game
Why should interlocking matter at all when it comes to a map being good? I can't take you seriously when you say "things not even interlocked". There are plenty of good maps in there, but I think some less than great maps are in rotation far too often over the maps I actually want to play. I mean, I've only had Deity about three times since BvW, and that's one of the better maps in there.
I got Ravinia a few times while playing last night. I've always loved that map and I had no idea it was in the playlist. I honestly think it should just be in matchmaking forever because of how ****ing epic one flag is. The only other decent maps I got were Stonehenge and Conduction. I would've gotten Eighty Grit a few times, but everyone in the playlist ****ing vetoes based off the damn name.
Yes that is it. I loved the middle. I was playing with noobs though (on both my team and the other team) which kind of ruined the experience. Especially when I get to listen to "OMGZ i can haz hammer!!!11!! now i wil rape. Oh i dided again but yea i found explosion shooter!! [Brute Shot]" I could have muted the kid but it was surprisingly entertaining. Did anyone else find that Apex only had a few spawn points?
I know what you mean about craptastic maps. I mean, no offense to the creators but maps like Synapse, Coup de... something, and Workplace Bravo need a lot of tweaks. I also think they accept waaaay too many submitions. For example, I've been playing for 2 days on that damn playlist and only got my map once >=/. Does anyone who got their map in the playlist have this problem? Anyway, overall I like the communtiy playist and think that should be a permanent playlist (Social). Oh and people getting overly competative on Paranoia is the funniest thing =). I love Paranoia
