This is the great spider. He will rip your innards from your body cavity. This map, located on Avalanche, features a giant Spider called the "Great Tarantula". He has 4 legs, 2 stationary, one about to leap, and another stationed on a wall. He has 8 glowing eyes and mandibles ready to kill anything that gets too close. Please note, this is just a beta of the map. It has no spawn points, and no built-in support of any gametype. I'm planning to fix some odd looking positions on the Spider, and maybe even add another on the other side. And of course, put on some gametypes. More pictures located in the map post. This map does not meet cetain standards the great overlords of FH have set in stone as seen here http://www.forgehub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1200 Remove the bracketed text form your title and try imbedding some pics of the "monster" using http://photobucket.com/ Overall i thought (from the pics availible) it was somewhat plain. There are lots of monster built using forge,i'd suggest adding some playability,throw some cover on its back and maybe sort a king of the hill style of gameplay? Around here was where i realised you said "beta",really you should have used forge discussion since you arent really posting the map yet...or maybe just kept it to yourself or in your blog until it was ready for testing. As said, this is just a beta. Not to mention, my first monster map. I'm going somewhere right now, I'll have to imbed later. Thanks for the ideas, I'll add them in v2.
It was submitted at 7 A.M. EST., only 1 hour after the Legendary map pack was released. Working on the photobucket pics.
From what the pics show, it looks pretty good. I enjoy gigantic spiders...in the snow! Maybe I can turn this in to biology class when we study spiders...
