7/10- Its pretty good, it seems like something I could listen to while I was doing homework or driving, not really something I could jam to. YouTube - Ezra Furman and the Harpoons "Take Off Your Sunglasses"
Please read the OP before you post. Also, the actual "reviewing" in this thread has gone downhill. As for the post above me, I like it, but the vocals seemed too subtle for the genre, and the piano didn't really seem to fit with the band. Also, the guitar didn't play a large enough role for me. For such a long song, I didn't see much progression either. 5/10 YouTube - ENTER SHIKARI - JUGGERNAUTS - official promo video
I like the electro/piano feel to the song but i personally dont think its enough. The screaming could be abit better, though it does go fine i guess :S 6/10 YouTube - Emil Bulls - Time
Wow, that blew my mind, honestly. The effects in the background were fantastic, I loved the key. The singer managed to change his style at the right times, and it worked brilliantly. It got better as it went on, but it was fantastic, reminds me a bit of a band called 'refused'. Very punky, but good. 9/10. YouTube - Deadly Lethal Ninja Assassin * I have changed one of the rules, if you wish, you may now post two different styled songs for a reviewer to choose from. You don't have to post two, and you don't have to review both, but now there is a little more choice for you. Details and other rules are on page 1. *
Hmm I quite like this song despite me disliking the genre. Maybe I should be a bit more open to music. I like the video and the song is very good. 9/10 YouTube - Eminem - Lose Yourself MUSIC VIDEO rate away
Ahhh, a timeless song. I still love it. 8/10 Not to mention i loved 8mile. Just discovered this guy! YouTube - Ronald Jenkees - Clutter HD
Eh, I didn't like it too much. Most of the sounds and effects he used got really boring throughout the song, and it was just sort of boring. It wasn't really chill either. It just didn't grab me. 3/10 We had to analyze this song for my Speech class today. Wanted to see what others thought. You don't have to analyze it, just review it. YouTube - Owl City - Fireflies
the first time i heard owl city, i honestly thought that it was the most metrosexual music in existence. but nevertheless, its grown on me. 7/10 here's mine YouTube - Counting Crows - Round Here With Lyrics
I really like that song :] I used to listen to it all the time, lol. 8/10 A new Ronald Jenkees song. YouTube - Ronald Jenkees - Stay Crunchy
10/10, that is dankest, the musicality and post-modern elements fit in nicely with the beat YouTube - Wildcat
It was Tender Bisquit who turned me on to Mr. Jenkees. The guy is definately unique, and his stuff just flows really well. This song reminds me of Joe Satriani. It would get annoying with too many listens, but quite engaging before that point. 8/10 My favorite song of 2009: YouTube - HEARTLESS BASTARDS - The Mountain - New in 2009 - Made by Me edit: nice 1 word review, posted simultaneously with mine. OK I'll play your game. Wildcat or whatever this is, I really like it. Very mellow, almost dignified. 9/10.
7/10 Not really my genre of music, so I can't really judge it all that well. YouTube - MGMT - Kids Skip to 1:00
Good piece, an example of rough electronic, which I came up with as electronic with that sound that almost feels like sandpaper, you know what I'm saying? Either way it was good. 8/10 YouTube down for maintenance
Beautiful work. Nice video, too... their facial expressions never break. The song is mellow and yet progressive. 8/10. YouTube - The Stranglers - Nice 'N' Sleazy
^^ 1:37=win Good one, Pred. I really liked it, it was simple yet elegant. Awesome synth work. 7/10 YouTube - Nonpoint - What a day
