I'm amazed at this remake. You did everything I did on Blockout :) measure everything with a stopwatch, kill yourself hundreds of times (I used a second controller so it wasn't just suicide), gone through every single gametype and repeat the objective spawns. This is the kind of dedication we need in remakes and I'm glad someone else can appreciate that. Only Adelyss has shown this kind of dedication.

I'm just glad that you budget glitched your map so that it's a complete remake. I know how hard it can be to make a map with no hope of making it in Atlas, but doing a proper remake is far better for the community as a whole and doesn't disappoint people like so many other remake attempts.

The brightness of this map is also a huge plus, as opposed to the very cave feel of the other remakes. Makes this map feel much more like the original with open air feel.

Some of the spawns felt a little weird but I know bungie had some unusual choices in halo 2, often spawning away from anything important. Not really your fault but just something that doesn't transition well to halo 3. Also the hill spawns inside the base were somewhat questionable, but if it's like the original than it's hard for me to complain.

Overall amazing work. Thanks for giving the community this awesome remake.

Yeah, first ever Halo 2 map that I played, and I absolutely loved it. Up with Hang 'em High. Anyway, I think this is a really accurate remake, but not an OMG one. Generall when you reamake a halo 3 map you have to make it bigger for gameplay to work out well, and that goes double for a map like this. Its just too small. But, other than that you acheived perfection. Really amazing job. And the time it must have took to do all of those spawns, dedication. The size is really not that big of a deal, especially when you do something this well. If you ever doo something this awesome again, I want to know right away!

After playing just about every gametype on this map I can say that it is the best remake of beaver creek I have ever seen. It does possible to escape the map but I'm sure you hit the OLN and that's why there's nothing you can do about that. If everyone plays fair then there should be know problem. This map truly feels like beaver creek. Multi flag, slayer, and KOTH were particularly fun on this map. Great Job xX BtR Chaos Xx!

this map is by far the best remake of beaver creek. the attention to detail that is shown here is outstanding and really makes this map shine. I love the bases and how you tried to make them as close as physically possible with what supplies you have. great job. DLing for sure

Dude, this is by far my favorite remake, it has the beaver creek feel to it, team swat is a blast to play on it. How long does a map like this take to make?

Well I started making this map in late May and I finished it in early September. But don't think I spent 4 straight months making it, I have a job and a girlfriend so I only forged when I could. I was really dedicated all through June, August, and September, but I slacked off in July and played alot more than I forged. So when you break It all down I'd say that it took me 2 1/2 months.

Oh and thanks alot for all the support and positive comments. Yall, the community are the reason I make my maps. I do it all for you guys. Yall motivate me to do my best. My next projects are going to be an MLG map and maybe even another remake. But thats all I can say for now...

    Thanks alot,
    xX BtR Chaos Xx

I think this map is a bit larger than the orriginal it seems to be scaled almost 1`.5 times the normal. Just look at the front entrences to see what I mean. I think It has accuracy but I felt like a mini childs toy playing on it when everything towered over me.

    1: to your map :)
It looks really great and it gives the impression of the good old map.
Like others said, it's leraly the best choice to build this map in the middle section, because of the ground and the lightning
You put a good remake on H3 thx

i have been using forgehub for a while now but just recently made an account. when i saw this i just had to leave my thoughts of it. This map looks amazing, it has the exact layout of beaver creek. the comparison pictures really help me remember beaver creek and how accurate you got. the trees were the only thing you had missing but that doesnt matter bc they were only about 2 inches wide and provided no cover. plus i dont even know if it would be possible to make them. but anyways great job man 5/5!

I don't recall my map making it to matchhmaking, if it did then I was never notified. I'm pretty sure that Bungie would have sent me a message letting me know that my map was selected. Also i just wanted to thank all of you who have taken the time to post a reply and keep this thread active. It's been almost a month and people are still commenting on it! If any of you liked my map and want my future maps then simply send me a friend request on forgehub.

    My futures maps:
    1) An MLG map in the crypt of Sandbox
    2) Another remake in the crypt of Sandbox

Ah, back to the days of halo 2. A time for most of very fun experiences, a time for some to be noobs, such as myself, and just totally get destroyed.. :D Besides Coagulation of course, Beaver creek was my favorite map to play on, whether I was just screwing around with my friends, or actually playing some hardcore customs. The map you have made here really and truly reminds me of the original, whether I was crawling around on the tin cup river, or snaking my way up to sniper tower, I always felt immersed into the Halo 2 map. Constructing this map must of taken many long hours of dedication, getting every spawn point, and also weapon placement, but in the end it defiantly shows through. I want to go ahead and point out what I thought were the pitfalls of the map, so I guess I will get onto that…

In your attempt to replicate almost every last detail of the halo 2 map, I think you might have forgotten that halo 3 plays a lot differently than its predecessor. I know you were going for an absolutely perfect remake, but in my opinion, you can’t really create one. In my mind, Halo 2 maps should not be copied onto the canvas of forge on Halo3, but yet, remade in the hopes of providing similar game-play, but on the Halo3 pallet. These few, although mentioned mistakes in the map that make it different from Halo2s’, such as the longer weapon spawns, and the needler’s lack in power, really contributed to the overall game-play in the original Beaver Creek. Rockets and sniper were crucial to controlling the map, as whoever could time the weapons correctly would gain the upper hand in a game. With Halo 3 however, the maximum time you have to work with is 180 seconds, making the power weapons, such as the previously mentioned Rockets and Sniper, spawn two times as fast. As you know, with such an abundance of ammo, or even just the initial acquiring of these weapons quickly establishes dominance with whoever obtains them. Moving on to areas other than weapons, I really wanted to address the fact that I can break out over many areas of the map, including a place near rocket spawn, and a place near the back of blue base, places I am mentioning because they are the simplest, and allow access to some nice camping spaces.

That was actually a very difficult paragraph to write, as in all honesty, I didn’t have much trouble with the map. The spawns, as you said, were very close to the original, and I actually popped in my old Halo 2 to try and prove you wrong. As funny as it was to me, I couldn’t, and I congratulate you on that. The aesthetics, and the way this remake resembles the original astounded me, and I must admit I still invite friends to my game so I can show them a remake. ( I tell them you built it though, don’t worry about it) Most of the weapons were pretty well placed, as I can’t really argue with Bungie, as they placed the weapons in the first place, although you know I still have a slight problem with the more powerful ones and their spawn times. The river was pretty cool, and actually fit the name very well, what with being barren and such… J

For a Halo 2 remake, I must say, this has to be one of the most accurate. From the hundreds of suicides you must have put yourself through, and the almost perfect structural replication, I congratulate you once again, on a job well done. Now a Coagulation “remake”….If only, if only :p

I don't have a whole lot to say about this map as I have yet to play on it, but I will say that this is the best looking Beaver Creek remake I have seen so far. Great job.
