Hello I have a question. When i downloaded the sandbox money glitched map i tried to use the lighting setting ball named old timey (excuse me i dont know what they are called ) and i couldnt. It was greyed out but it still said there was 1 left? how/can i fix this problem if fixable. -MAGIC_MAN
I've been wondering why at random intervals when I turn a receiver upside-down it becomes invisible. Is it random or can it be purposefully reproduced? If it can, can it only be done on certain maps?
Shadow, I could be wrong, but I believe that to be lag. I've only ever had it happen when trying to glitch a node through walls, and only in laggy games where It takes a second to realize I hit A on the object.
Wierd I doubt it because I was doing this in a local game, and it saved to the map. I doubt I would get lag in a local game and even if I did I doubt it would save as invisible. Plus, it only appears invisible from certain angles.
no, cause if I turned it around it would become visible, and if I turned it back it would re-become invisible. It happened on multiple maps and they all saved as invisible. I just don't know why it keeps happening.
I have been wondering for quite a long time(since I got Halo 3 for Christmas xD), that people have maps that don't look like the maps in forge(when you have never had XBL.) I really want to know how to make a 1-Of-A-Kind map without having to delete every single item on a Forge map. EDIT : Also, how do people have the full list of items, and not just a portion of them? How do people have full budget as well?
On multiple maps I have seen objects spawn at different times. I know you make something spawn late, but they were spawning 1 after another. How is this possible?
When you use the doors on Foundry to push objects into the floor/walls, is the amount that the object merges constant (like a double box will always move in X amount every time you use the doors), or is there a variable to that? Do all items move the same amount, or does each item have it's own constant? (Like Double Box moves X amount, Stairs move Y amount, and Single Open Boxes move Z amount) EDIT: Might as well ask here as it's for an idea in forge: can anything shoot through pallets? Like if I made a small bridge from pallets could a Spartan Laser pierce through it from the ground, killing someone who was inside?
The depth which you interlock objects is the depth which a geomerge will go to, under ideal circumstances. Now obviously we've all experienced items spazzing out and falling through the floor or going weird angles or too deep or something, but those are not ideal. So yes, the door will always push the same amount if you use the same edge of the door because the door is interlocking itself with your object at the same distance.
Okay, thanks. That should make one small part of my idea easier. It's still going to take a while putting all of those boxes into a wall around the outside of Foundry....
is there a way to start aqn assault game with the bomb being launched into the area of play? i have tried a few methods with mancannons, but i cant get it to work.
No, the bomb "sticks" to the spawn until it's picked up. And the base is immovable. You could have the bomb area raised up and have grav lifts spawn around it after 10 seconds to give players access to it.
dang, i had all the players in a pit on the map im making, i was hoping to launch it down into them. ah well, i guess ill have to make do with sitting it somewhere inside then, thanks.
How do you make weapons spawn flat against walls without falling down, in the direction that i choose them? Whenever I use a weapon holder sideways interlocked in the wall; the item attempts to realign itself as it would on a weapon holder.
The map I am currently working on is budget glitched and I used all of the default items to help with the item limit. I just hit the object limit, which isn't really a problem as of now, but I"m having black flashing when you stand in certain areas. What causes this? Is it merging, geomerging, both, or just that I have so many objects? Also, does this appear in custom games? I could probaly check the last one but I'm lazy lolz
I beleive its when you're rendering (viewing) too many interlocked/geomerged objects at once. It doesn't actually happen in gameplay however, although in the theatre it does. Hope that helps, and if thats not exactly what causes it please inform me. But as far as I know, that is the cause.
Dont worry Noxiw, you pretty much got it correct. Also, it can sometimes becaused by having it budget glitched, but it still has nothing to do with budget glitches at all.
