Hey, to begin I want to say that I am absolutely terrible with forums. I am really not a forum person at all, so if there’s anything wrong with this thread please point me in the right direction. About my thread: I often host lan parties for my friends, and there are always issues about what to play next. I decided this would be no more, and I purchased a one month account. The entire purpose of this account is to find 100 of the best maps and game types for lan parties. I have looked everywhere but am having a tough time finding games. I was wondering if there was one: anyone who hosts custom games often or two: any classic maps or game types that I really should have. I've searched through pages of the map sections and can never seem to find any good maps, so if you could please point me in the right direction that would be great. I always wanted to make this but it would take forever to compile >.< I don't know if you can still download it, but AZNFTW's Mario Tower map has always gotten good reviews at LANs. More than any sandbox/foundry map to be honest. Chipsinabox made a godly LAN map, I forget what it's called now though. You will want a good mix of semi-competitive and casual maps. I'd advise no MLG maps.
Alright thanks for the advice. Its really funny actually, about a forth of the people who come to my lans are really competitive, and all they want to do is mlg and brs and such, and then the other three forth’s don't know what the heck mlg is, and the skill level drop is ridiculous, ha-ha. We normally play mlg settings with radars, and we modify the normal maps just enough that the non competitive guys don't know we do. We always split up the teams equally and normally the top two guys on each team will go positive 30 or 40, and the other six or seven will go huge negative. Also, to used man, I am looking through the features now, thanks. ^.^ If anyone wants to play any of these new maps I'm downloading send me an invite.
I'd be up for that, maybe. Would be fun to play some old classics. I can also help you with some choices, I've been here since the beginning and remember most of the features pretty well. Edit: Nevermind, I'm off for about 24 hours. But if you're playing Sat. night to Sun. night, I'll join in if I can.
