! SPOILER ALERT ! I got sick of trying to run around for hours on end searching the city for these audio logs. (Listen to them, they tell an interesting story) Anyway, I looked it up and I got a map, I'll put a link to it in spoiler tags below. Anyway I found out that there's 29 of them in the "Mombasa Streets" level. And one in a different level. (I'm not going to say which, just so you don't get mad... I currently have 28 of them and I can't seem to acess the area with the last one. It's blocked off with some kind of covenant energy sheild. The sheild is similar to the ones you see in halo 3 at the end of the "Tsavo Highway" campaign level, except it's much brighter and you can't walk through it. Anyway. The area's obviously accessible normally but I am confused as to why I can't get in. I mean, why would bungie put an audiofile in an inaccessible area? If you have any ideas as to why I cant get there, please tell. Link to map in this spoiler: Spoiler http://www.msxbox-world.com/features/Halo-3-ODST/index.php
That website states there's 29 of the audophiles in Mombassa Streets, not 28. The 30th one is in the other level. But aside from the help, I ****ing love these audio files. The story is amazing, and now being I'm on the last level it's really piecing up some of the story for me.
If you/someone could help get all the Audiophiles I would be really happy and I may be able to help you with something you need. I don't know, I'm too lazy to look by myself and your the only person I know who knows where they are. Kthxbai!
The area does seem to be blocked off but the audiophile is in a room/corridoor that can be accessed through a "security door", on of the tall opening doors between the two parts that are blocked off. Just search around and you should find it.
Yeah, I just figured this out today. There should be two of those blue force fields, right? The security door is on the right wall of the left blue forcefield.
Dude there is no audio file that's behind a shield because I have got them all and which area are you talking about because there's a lot of places with shields.
Yeah there isn't one me and my buddy got them all last night (after 4 hrs of roaming the using the internet for the last 6) But it is still puzzling why you can't access that area. Idk why you can't its is light up on the map so it makes sense to be able to go their.
Trying using this video, my friend and I got 28 and we had to go through every location to find out that we missed some stupid easy one to find. YouTube - Halo 3 ODST all Audio logs 30/30 video guide + map location Pt 1/2
Actually, guys, my bro was playing as I was posting this and found the security door some of you were talking about. So I got the achievement. But seriously, it's suprisingly fun getting all the audio files. Except when you have to do it 3 times. (Me and my bro did it on co-op, but didn't realise you had to do it on solo to keep the caches open and to get the last one, and i did it for my bro too.)
I didn't read the posts below the initial so forgive me if this has been said. Bungie wouldn never put an audio log where it can't be reached. My suggestion is look for lit-up signs near by that point a direction and then head that direction. (There is at least one sign pointing toward each and every audiophile in the game, its quite awesome actually). If that fails you then search near by building and try to find a way into one and look for signs from there. Also, co-op and solo audiofiles save seperatly, so if you get all 29 audiofiles in co-op then be sure you go after the last one with a friend that also has 29/30 in co-op. I would recommend getting all of them in solo because your audiofiles will only save if you have the counterpart you got them with. Hope this helps
