My third map, and probably one of my best thanks to the new advanced merging and interlocking. I tried to make a map that had some more aesthetics due to my earlier maps not really having some good-looking structures. So, when I tried thinking of something that would not affect the gameplay in a negative way but still look good, I thought of a giant hand. So now that the new glitch was found, it was much easier to make these structures on Sandbox. As for where I was going to make it, I decided on the middle floor for a big team feel. This map is going to be asymmetrical, and now, onto the preview pictures. Blue Base Carbine Tower Snipe Window Right Hand (if looking from the front of Blue Base, this hand is on the right of it) Left Hand (the hand opposite the one above) Map Overview The items that are stacked on the right are obviously OLN items, I need them if I want to make this map. I still need some ideas for the middle of the map, if you have any criticism or ideas that can make this map better, tell me so I can fix it or add it. Thanks!
The only hand map I've seen since Master Hand... Honestly, it looks good so far. It doesn't seem you're using too many items, or not enough. Good job, and keep it up .
I think it looks ok, I had tried something similar in the crypt but never finished it, it wouldve been called arm and hammer. In my opinion I think it may be "handy" if you give the hands a more distinct palm region, just for aesthetic purposes.
Looks very smooth =], and as for the middle id say put like a big face there or a tall tower (so it looks like the hands are trying to grab to tower. I think the tall tower would be best, with multiple rooms going up and not just ramps going round and round untill you get to the top. Also you want to be carefull and want to add more cover going towards the hands because it looks like it can be an overpowered spot unless you think it thrue carefully.
Yea, I'm going to add a lot more ground cover on each side. Don't think that I'm going to make a huge open map, lol. Each side is going to have its own setups. Thanks for the idea about the middle, I'm liking the tower idea. I'll take that into consideration.
I really like the idea, and I think that in the middle you should put a huge flat sturucture with a tower coming out of the middle. MAke it so that vehicles can go on top, and people can go through little holes and be under it. Then you could make that an amazing location for a missle pod, or some really big anti-vehicle weapon.
What I'm thinking from your post is a hill with sort of a tower structure in the middle? I was thinking of that and I think I'll go with it. People can walk through the bottom and vehicles can drive off the hill. I guess that I'll just make the tower an aesthetic part of the map and make it look pretty. Thanks!
Yeah a head would make it perfect, you could make a room in the head for sniping or something along those lines. (shooting out of the eyes, haha)
