Post cool free software in this thread. There are a few rules though:

    1) Software must be free. Not a 30 day free trial, although it can have a "premium" version that you have to pay for.

    2) Software must be downloadable. No online free stuff. Although it can require the internet to work.

    3) Try and follow a basic template of: Name of software, link to software, and a description. If it only works in certain countries include that too. You could also compare it to existing similar software (pros and cons etc.).

    4) No illegal software. By nature, uTorrent and Limewire and other file sharing software is not illegal, but the way it's used is. For example, DVDFab, a DVD copying software, is illegal. Also, no links to torrents of any software, or illegal versions of software.

    5) Software shouldn't have adult content involved or anything inappropriate in it by nature.

    6) No software that requires other software to work unless both are free. So no game add-ons (Halo Custom Edition), and no expansions (Pinnacle Studio Pro expansion (which costs money anyway))

Sounds like a lot of rules? Well I want to keep this thread in GC. Most of these rules are forum rules anyway.

If you are using Safari on anything else, you are doing it wrong.

foobar2000. BEST music player I have ever used, and I've used just about all of them. Winamp would almost top this but foobar2000 is great since it has built in codecs to play .FLAC files! You can click on the site to see more main features.

    Google Sketchup (7.1)
Free 3D Modelling Software. Simple to use, and useful on all levels of detail. (It's good for all modelling scales, from modelling the inside of your xbox, to modelling a city.

Image from a proffesional sketchup site. This 3D model was created with external applications that cost ALOT of money. You could create this with plain sketchup, but it wouldn't be as photo realistic.

    Free RAR Extract Frog
Obviously its free and gets the job done with rar files.
It doesnt clutter the right-click options like WinRAR and is much simpler.
Good solution for people who just want to quickly extract RARs

    Any Video Converter

This is probably one of the most useful free software I have.

You just open location to a video file,
You can change the video format, audio format and thankfully resolution so it can fit all types of devices.
Extremely simple user interface and has a legit youtube video downloader to boot.

I don't see how having one thing saying extract is clutter.

    Updated all of your suggestions.
However, from now on, can people look for their suggestion (use Ctrl + F) before posting it. Fbu and Whisper posted OpenOffice and mIRC respectively. Both of these had been up there before they had posted.
