Grandeur Created by: Tristan Supported Gametypes: slayer,team slayer, oddball, one sided ctf, one sided assault and juggernaut(regicide) BR or magnum start suggested Map Description I started out wanting to build a sort of long narrow map with a little longest feel and then i found a gap in the roof on foundry and decided to put a sniper perch there and then the rest fell into place. On the defending side there is a sniper perch with a 1 min respawn and under it is a lower br tower if you go to the bridge to the sniper tower and then behind it there are 2 spike grenades and a carbine also to the right there is a tunnel where the bomb detonation point / flag spawn point is. In the center of the map there is a small wall on one side there is a dumpster, assault rifle, and 2 frags on the other side of the wall there is a crate with the ball spawn and invisibility on it and next to the wall is a mauler. (the mauler is slightly closer to the attackers side because they have to walk farther to get to the center of the map) On the attacking side there is a basement in the basement there is a spiker, 2 battle rifles, one assault rifle, 2 frags and 2 pistols. the BRs spawn on either wall, the spiker is in the middle, and the assault rifle spawns alongside the grenades where the wall juts out. there is also a grav lift with a pistol on either side of it (sort of like lockout) the lift leads to the top level where a rocket launcher on 45 sec respawn and 2 stickies spawn. _________________________________________________ map overveiw overveiw #2 offence overveiw defence overveiw the sniper perch the grav lift rocket spawn and grav lift exit _________________________________________________ i hope you guys like i spent about 5 hours building it and about 3 hours playtesting and fixing it. i am always happy to play on it just ask me. also if you dl please post on bungie too thanks! I won't judge too quickly, cause I didn't dl it yet, but it seems that this map needs some cleaning up. I can't tell whether you've interlocked or not, if you didn't then you probably should on some parts of it. I swear I saw two Camos, don't know if thats true or not but if it is then it seems a bit too much. A 60 second sniper respawn is probably too short as well. Just some friendly advice...
I believe that is the same Camo from 2 angles, and I can tell for a fact the floor is interlocked...the rest needs it...badly. +cough cough+ I can has Version 2?
Welcome to forgehub, I hope you find all you need for great forging and fun. You look like you are pretty familiar with forge, but perhaps you could use a few pointers. Your map for the most part looks great, except for a few crooked things, so if you would check out Forging 101 for all the help you need, good luck with forging!
I like the map design alot. Some walls could use a little straightening, but this is solid. Well done, DLing. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with in the future. and welcome to FH
Pros: -Turned boxes upside down -interlocked boxes Cons: -Sloppy walls -Sloppy interlocking ------To interlock, u only want to cover the seams, not completely go into the box -use boxes to help straighten walls if ur gonna go the length to interlock. might as well go the whole nine yards. walls specifically
