Well i have a lot of time on my hands this weekend and so i created the V2 of Curvature (my first sandbox map here). Curvature is supposed to be a 5v5 CTF map with a lot of BR battles. Here is the V2! So the major change i've made from my first version is the center. I made the Spartan spawn have a lot more cover, and i took away the center tunnel. This was the original overview this was the V2 and as you can see i added more cover from the warthog (thanks for the idea Scobra) This was the original This is the V2 This is just a picture of the bases they haven't been changed but they should be mentioned. You really shouldn't have made a while new thread for a v2 of a map you posted not too long ago for such small changes. You should have just updated the first thread.
Really nice map, but I think that you should try "ghost merging"... and I don't know why but It reminds me a little bit of my map Bridgeo's (Matchmaking in 7 on the 7th), maybe because of the sort of bridge/wall in the middle...
yes i loved bridgeos, and my initial idea was to create something like that center structure but with less holes in it, and this is what i came up with. And with the ghost merging i was 85% done with this map and i had everything planned out so i decided not to. I tried to do something like Utah Mambo's rocket spawn but i ended up deleting it.
A whole new thread wasn't really necessary for just these changes, however the changes you made, however little they were, seem to be for the better. The map feels more compact now and those 6 Vertical blocks help a lot in providing cover. I also like the revamped Laser spawn. It looks nicer and thew way you have it set up will probably end up making it the must have point in Capture the Flag games. Great job and I will be sure to download the moment I get my Xbox back.
While i do agree making a whole new thread wasn't necessary, I'm really liking the changes. The laser spawn looks perfect now and the large blocks on the outskirts of the map will provide a lot better cover. So all in all well done with the changes.
