SACRIFICE SACRIFICE Hello, all! This is Plasma Rifle Elite back with a new map, this one being competitive. I have never seen a competitive map on Assembly. I may be wrong, but there are almost no forged maps on Assembly. The only Assembly map i've seen on Forgehub was a Conquest map. I like forging maps on templates scarcely used before, such as my cops and robbers map on Orbital. So here it is. Here is Sacrifice. This is a competitive map built for Team Slayer only. I've changed the layout of this map alot, by placing shield doors on the bottom level of the map to divide it into four close-quarters killing zones, as long range weapons above pick off combatants below. I blocked off the bottom level of the tower in the center, too. The asthetics are improved by geomerged powerups in the ground, but the very revolutionary and unique part of this map is that I put a grav lift in the skull spawn, knocking it to the ground and turning it into a weapon in the close-quarters zones. This map is fully tested, and includes these weapons ( weapon numbers unavailable): Radar Jammer x1 Power Drain x1 Grav Lift x1 Plasma Cannon x1 Mauler x2 Beam Rifle x1 Energy Sword x1 Mythic Skull x1 Plasma Grenades Plasma Rifles Plasma Pistols Needlers Covenant Carbines For anyone that complains about the lack of Battle Rifles, I have a few words for you : Halo 3 ODST. Looks good, I agree to the statement that not too many maps are made on assembly. Mainly this is due to the limitations bungie set apon it. Personally, I hate assembly because it has no unique gameplay tactics. I guess I don't hate it but the gameplay is too repetitive, it being symetrical and all (though I like narrows and construct, but they aren't perfectly symetrical, which makes a map great). The map you created, however, is a little bit of an improvement. The idea of killing zones (BTW "killing zone 2" has a capital I) is the same kind of repitition I don't like, but the close quarters looks fun. The skull dropping is a bonus, but how much damage does it really do? I can't image that it's a two hit kill because that isn't what happens in forge. I wish you didn't use that many shield doors in a way. It might turn into too many of the snowbound's back up and throw grenade games. When I get a chance to play it Ill decide. Great geomerging, original idea with the skull. 4.6/5 for now.
It's good to see a map that's not on Sandbox. I'm liking the changes that you made to the layout, as well as the Covenant weapon set. However, the Mythic skull only appears in Forge. I won't comment on the gameplay until I play the map, so this looks like another map I'll be downloading and testing.
