    Map Description:

The Guardians will grant your Wish as long as you make the ultimate Sacrifice. 2-8 Players
    - Final Edit -

    Back Story
A Wishing Well is a term from European folklore to describe Wells where it was thought that any spoken wish would be granted. The idea that a wish would be granted came from the idea that water housed deities or had been placed there as a gift from the gods, since water was a source of life and often a scarce commodity. People believe that the guardians or dwellers of the well would grant them their wish if they paid a price. After uttering the wish, one would generally drop coins in the well. That wish would then be granted by the guardian or dweller, based upon how the coin would land at the bottom of the well.
The same is true for this Wishing Well, provided you sacrificed something, be it an opponent or a fellow teammate. A safety barrier is in place now to keep things from being dropped into the Well which has long since dried up, but a grenade tossed just right will remove this safety barrier for 30 seconds allowing for sacrifices and wishes to be made before the barrier reactivates.

Wishing Well v2 is a symmetrical map that supports every gametype. Both Red Side and Blue Side of Wishing Well v2 are identical but are not the mirror image of the other. Each Side can also be distinguished by the type of columns found on each side. Red Side has Red Columns and Large Columns (Orange with Hieroglyphics) while Blue Side has Blue Columns and the Large Stone Columns.

Gametypes that are best suited to this map are Team Slayer, Multi Flag CTF, K.O.T.H., Oddball and FFA. My favorite being Team Crazy King or Team Slayer. SWAT or MLG gametypes can be fun on Wishing Well but it has been created specifically for the standard Team Gametypes.

The ideal Player count for Wishing Well v2 is between 2 - 8 players.

I have been working on Wishing Well v2 ever since I posted the original as the Mythic maps were released. The main differences between this map and the original are as follows:

    - I have smoothed out alot of bumps, got rid of almost all the "z" fighting between objects and have redone the outer edges of the map to look more appealing in-game.

    - Aesthetically I have made it alot easier to realize which side of the map you are on. I have done this by adding and rearranging wedges, colored columns and turning the RED SIDEs large ramps upside down exposing the Hieroglyphics on the bottom.

    - The openings on to the bridge have been cleaned up.

    - The Sword Platform has been lowered, slightly. No one should have trouble getting up there on there first try.

    - There are new ramps leading out of the exterior rooms that lead up to the Regen & Bubble.

    - The areas near the Regen & Bubble have been cleaned up and expanded upon.

    - Grenades have been shuffled around to encourage different routes to take around the map.

As a result of several of these changes there are new jumps, that once realized, will give you an advantage over players who don't see them.

I don't get it. Don't get me wrong, from the pictures it looks like a great map, and i got no complaints. But you named your map wishing well after a structure in your map, and you didn't explain said structure. i would assume it's important cause you named your map off of it, or is it just a hole in the floor with a grav lift(eg. purely aesthetic)

It is aesthetic but it also serves a purpose, it comes in handy when getting br'd in the back.

I've already played a ton of awesome games on your old version of this map. I like your changes and look forward to playing a lot more on this.

Really good job setting this map up for all gametypes, it really adds to the replay value of the map. Thanks for making this, you are an EXCELLENT forger.

I don't often post on these forums, but I would like to extend my appreciation of this map. I DL'd v1 as soon as I saw it, and was not disappointed. Based on your changes, I like it that much more. Well done and keep up the good work.

This map definitly has alot going on. Every section of it is distinctively different which is going to make evry game drastically different. Looks good. I'll dl it

This was the first map I ever saw that used the tin cups as grass when the mythic map pack first came out. Safe to say that it utterly amazed me and has been one of my favourite forged maps ever since. Only thing I disliked about was the abundance of power weapons.

I have now re-added the Back Story as to why I called it Wishing Well.

The Grav Lift is only there as an aesthetic touch. It serves no real function other than to keep you from falling down the well. If there is a battle going on in the Courtyard I usually try to take out the Grav Lift with a grenade and then laugh as people who expect it to be there fall to their death. Try using it to get a quick height advantage over your opponents. The Lift respawns in 30 seconds after it is destroyed.

People who have played this alot have told me not to make the Grav Lift instant respawn, but we are all good forgers here, if you want to change anything about the map please feel free to. If you feel it plays better with your additions or subtractions let me know.

looks nice, i think your map is a little bit too overpowered. i mean your map isnt the biggest so i think you should remove for example the rocket or something.
i also like that you interlocked the bottom of your map, i think if you would interloc everythink it would give you map an extra note...
    but overall nice work 7/10
