Where?If you are wondering why this is gald "where?", its all because this is more of a gametype I created than a map and the gametype is called "Get There!" I hope it all makes sense so here is what I have created. Sorry, but this is also not Sandbox, don't know what I did there. Map Gametype This is my first post at Forgehub, and I made this map more to test my posting so I know what I'm doing when I post some of my maps that are currently underway. This map focuses more on gameplay and is set on Valhalla. The bases are all set up with vehicles and equpiment and weapons to help make the gameplay better. So moving on to the gameplay; it is a VIP Variant and the VIP is invincible and must move to the otherside of the map. There are vehicles at the VIP base that should be used by the VIP in order to reach the VIP point, behind the attackers base. The VIP's team has the job of killing the attackers so that the VIP can make it across without getting pushed back across the map and therefore score points. The attackers have the job of killing the VIP's team and keeping the VIP away from the point by hitting him with rockets, gernades, equipment, and anything else they can think of. There are 4 rounds, each consisting of 1 minute, ensuring that the VIP and their team must work together quickly and efficently. Vehicles are also indestructible to ensure the VIP isnt cheaply left without a vehicle if it flips over and is destroyed. Recommended players 6(3v3) - 12(6v6). VIP Traits Invincible 25% Damage Weapons: Rockets/BR Infinite Ammo *No other changes* VIP Team Traits 150% Damage Resistance 50% Damage Modifier Weapons: Rockets/BR Infinite Ammo *No other changes* Attacker Team Traits 50% Damage Resistance 150% Damage Modifier Weapons: Brute Shot/Energy Sword 300% Speed 50% Gravity Infinite Ammo *No other changes* (!Pictures!) VIP Base Front You can see the Banshees, which are more for the team than the VIP VIP Base Back You can see the two warthogs and a mongoose for VIP and team cooperation; also see the second point for VIP to reach VIP Base Spawns There are gernades so you collect them when you first spawn VIP Base Grav There is a grav lift that you can use to get the VIP out of trouble quickly Extra Mongeese These are here with a spawn point (not visible) behing them, so if the VIP is cheaply assassinated, they can get a vehicle and not spawn all the way back at their base Attacker Base This is the attacker's base, you can see some vehicles and the first point for the VIP to reach Attacker Base Under This is where some vehicles are as well as weapons shown... Blockades ...here. These are also blockades so vehicles must go out back Attacker Equipment This is some equipment at the attackers' disposal. I higly suggest using powerdrains for EMP vehicle shutdown rather than shields Shotgun Its a shotgun, it doesn't need explained Attacker Spawns You spawn and pick up gernades. There are also trip mines that can be used to set up a mini mine field (!Action Shots!) Thats my map and thanks for the download. good first post but i could be going blind but that doesn't look much like sandbox to me map looks ok too i will edit with a rating if i play it (if i have a spare space not too sure if i do :S)
I'll give it a try, but to me it seems like it would be too easy fo the VIP to get to the point if he uses the indestructible banshees. Other than that, it looks like a good idea. And good first post, keep up the forging.
Well the banshees do give an advantage but there each team gets to have a go at attacking and defending so they are even in that sense
