I was forging today and i was trying to ghost merge, but none of the items would duplicate. I then tried the test to see if I was host but i wasn't, yet I was the only one in the game. If someone could help it would be much appreciated.
At what point were you in the process of ghost merging? Had you already dummied the objects and moved them off of their spawns? Had you carefully followed all of the instructions? Remember, you have to min/max the object that you are holding in order to efficiently generate the result. Answer those questions, and I'll see if I can't help you more. P.S. Were you forging on Local?
I have no idea what you are doing wrong, but you just might be a very unlucky person. As soon as I figure out how to play a game with no host, ill tell you what you did wrong. I say just start a new game and hope it works. Also, try it in a system link (LAN) party, solo.
I followed all the steps carefully, i've done ghost merging before and I know how to do it. The problem was me being the only one in the game and I was not host. I started two games and it happened to me twice. I was forging on live, so ill try doing it on local. And yes I was wondering how to play a game without a host to. Maybe the ghost of sandbox was host.
dude i don't know how that could have happened normaly the sign that you are the host is that you are able to end the game. i don't even know how its possible that this happened if you were the only one in the game. there is the possibility that there was somehow an enormous lag this has happened to me i moved part of a map im currenetly still working on that was interlocked to form an octagon and it lagged so bad i had to end the game, it happened again later when i showed one of m yfriends the map and he only threw 2 flame grenades at it, it was the same piece too.
