    Hive Mind is a map that I had originally created for Foundry. I had always had grande visions for it but because of the amount of items used to block off the bases of Foundry it could never be truely realized. The map consists of a huge central "Hive" structure that spans all but one end of the entire map.

    The Hive is completely traversable. You can walk up every side and it has lower chambers and a second interior level. From the inside there are two Grav Lifts that will take you up to the top walkway of the Hive.

    Hive Mind has been made for both Slayer(Team/FFA) and K.O.T.H(Team/FFA) gametypes. However it does support the other gametypes.

    Lots of different weapons on the map serve the purpose of making the player prepare for any kind of attack, and give the opportunity to change game tactics.

    There are four Tele-Lifts on the map. (Two inside the HIVE and Two under the HALF PIPE Tower) These elevated GravLifts will shoot you up to the upper areas of the map. Time your jump using the Light from the Teleporter. These Tele-Lifts will give you a great way to escape encounters and serve also to surprise those with the higher ground.

    The two Tele-Lifts inside the HIVE are accessible from both the Low Level and Sword Room Levels.

    This map uses the Ultimate Budget Glitch so it has been made with smaller games in mind. The maximum player count should not exceed 4v4. Sorry.

    This reminds me a lot of Colossus from Halo 2. The gameplay looks promising, and I'll edit my post for a gameplay review after I get some games on here(*Clicks 'Download'*). Unlike the kinds of comments you'll probably be getting, I actually like how the aesthetics of the grav lifts are. Like I said, I'll update with a gameplay review later.

    JEAH^^ looks like a damn good map man =)
    I think it has the right balance between opened and narrowed.
    (maybe there could be more opened areas, but I like it that way)
    Well what else to say.
    Congratulations in finishing your map
    I know how good it feels to POST it finally.
    Definately gonna dl it and have some games with mates =)
    ;D If it's good it will be kept on the HD (i think it will be)

    Are kidding me only 2 comments(now 3) this map looks amazingly unique in certain areas but anyway I like the layout. It sucks it wasnt made in foundry correctly, but anyway I generally can see a great layout here I hope its gonna be good Pel you better be on tonight you know I'm trying this out...

    Lookin good Borg, this one is almost as impressive as your ivory tower remake. This one will definitely stay on my map list and will be fun for alot of ffa's.

    Only great maps can achieve a really three dimensional feeling. This map completes that challenge, it has so much depth, from the top open floor to the hallways and corners underneath. Great job Borg, 5/5.

    I like this map.. it seems nice and smooth.. Also very well interlocking.. i cant see if you used much or not but still really good job on the center piece. I will download when i get chance 7/10 not to original

    First thing I thought when I came into the thread. This is colossus. Then I saw it wasn't.

    I absolutely love the design. The only problem might be the wall slits as flooring. Grenades will fall through those. I will download and get a game together. I can't wait.

    I did gain alot of inspiration from several maps that are already part of the Halo MP Universe.

    - The HIVE itself is based on the long "Spine" structure from Sandtrap. I liked the encounters you have when you try to battle your way to the top, not knowing how many enemies may be waiting for you on the other side.
    - The tele-lifts, within the HIVE are similar to that of Construct. I liked how you could enter them from both the basement level and the main level.

    The comparison between this map and Colossus though is purely a fluke, even though I do see the similarities now that you mention it.

    Wow! Nice map man! I really like the aesthetics, especially the tube corners with the stone platforms inside them. The upper floor is exceptionally smooth, especially the center "spine" area.

    Also thanks for setting up the map for all gametypes, my friends and I get tired of only playing slayer on a lot of maps. 1 minor glitch is that the Flag spawns are mixed up, with the Attackers flag spawn being right on the defenders return spot (and vica versa.) So that when you pick up the flag, it instantly scores. Easily fixable though (it took longer to write this paragraph.)

    What are your thoughts on making the map play more symmetrically? I noticed that for your slayer gametype you have the defenders spawning on the high point which isn't too much of an advantage. But just a thought.

    Also what do you think about adding more starting spawn points? I find it's important to have teams spawning in the same formation at opposite ends of the floor. Take your KOTH gameype for example, (nice attention to detail on the hill placements, btw) have your teams spawn on opposite ends of the floor the rush to that center hill for a climatic start!

    Overall very nice map, I can't wait to play a bunch of games on it with my friends. And I really think it will stay a permanent part of our map rotation. Thanks for taking the time to make this.

    Nondual had brought to my attention the fact that I had the Flag Capture points in the wrong place, resulting in instant Flag Caps once you grabbed the flag.

    I have changed the Download link to a newer version of the map, with updated Capture Points and new starting points in both Slayer and K.O.T.H.

    Sorry for the brain fart.

    Whats wrong with them? Why would somebody dislike it? Because its too awesome for them!

    This map looks a lot like all sorts of Halo 2 maps, not just Colossus. I personally have to say this looks like it has some of the most creative aesthetics I have seen at all. Unfortunately though, you have as many power weapons as you have reccommended number of people. That's a huge problem, because too many power weapons=Construct. Twelve power weapons. I do include brute shots as power weapons, mostly because the few people that use them ***** them. This ruins gameplay for everybody else, and causes stale gameplay that can make people dislike your map. Fix the spawns, and its an amazing map. Also, Camo and OS are not balenced. Choose one for each side, then leave.
