Two problems as i see it. The text, needs different fonts, capitals, colours etc. And all the light is hitting the spartan from the top, but there are two light sources below him- the pink (his hand) and the white (below his head). It has a lot of potential though, and it's great you're experimenting!
The perspective effect looks like a badly done spherize effect. I'm guessing it's the stock, so bad stock. Needler = lens flare on the left hand?
His arm seems to be the focal for me... Not so nice colors Text is plain and does not blend well You could do better than this
