hey guys im really interested in creating games and i love making multiplayer maps. ATM i use the KillingFloor unreal editor 2.0 Because i(and the community) have an undying love for halo, i was inspired by it. What i really want to know is how does bungie create their environments, especially with such detail and how similar is it to the unreal editor i use now?

Bungie's Engine for Halo 2 and 3 is the "Havok" Engine.
    Havok - Home

I really can't say how much of a change it is from the Source/Killing Floor SDK that you use but it should be in the same concept. However, what we use is Forge, which is merely an object manipulator that we have transformed into a map maker. The only way you'll be able to make Halo maps, that aren't for Halo PC, is to either Mod your xbox, or work for Bungie.
