Okay, I was trying to create a second account on myspace today. I fill out all the information, I'm old enough, my password works, the Email address is legit, and I fill out the random letter and number box that makes sure I'm not a bot. I click enter, and I get this message. So, naturally I got back and redo the box again, thinking I got one of the letters or numbers wrong. Not so. I get the same message. Now, by this time I'm slightly aggravated, I create a new yahoo email account (the one I was trying to use was the email I used for my first myspace account), and I switch the date to make me look like I'm twenty, thinking for some maybe for some insane reason myspace changed the age you have to be. Lo and behold, I get the same message. So, I have absolutely no idea how to fix it, why it's doing what it's doing, or what (if anything) I happen to be doing wrong. Any ideas?
Most likely, because you already have an account with myspace and you're trying to create a second one.
The thought crossed my mind, but I'm using my second email account, my first myspace account uses my first email account. There's no way they'd screen me because of my name or password, so the only other thing I can think of is my IP. But I don't think they would block my IP from having more than one account, because legitimately usually more than one person uses the same computer. That might be the case, but it's a stupid reason to block it.
That's not why, because I have had 2 accounts on the same IP address before and it didn't give me that message. I'm not sure why... did you get banned on your last account?
When I first signed up which was in the beginning of myspace you had to be 18, but you did not have to even use a real email either, but put yourself over 18, may not be problem, but still. EDIT: I somehow missed last part, but just fill everything out completely different, make sure to read everything, let me try making a new one, and Ill see if its working fine for me.
Of course I tried that, I tried being thirty five. Didn't work. Tried that too. So, did you get it to work?
