Then suit up and get set for the “Halo 3: ODST” GameStop Tour! Microsoft and Bungie have created a massive, transforming “Halo 3: ODST” Transport Vehicle to take the game directly to players at GameStop locations across the United States, providing a hands-on sneak peak at one of this year’s most anticipated games. DELETE THIS THREAD Sad Face its tommorow, i got all exited i am reallllllllly sad and i woke up at like 6 today
There's no need to delete the thread, people can still check it out if they didn't already see it on the bungie website.
I'll be attending the Arizona stop as well. I'll be there, probably at noon when it starts. I'm definitely looking forward to playing Firefight, especially since watching some pros playing it at MLG Dallas on friday.
Why must you be 17 or older? Will parental consent suffice? I'm hoping so, for the tour stops right by my home.
Hey does anyone know they are touring in Maryland (probaly Baltimore) and if so when. It says i dont have adobe whatever so it ain't letting me see the touring dates.
9/18. Garrison Forest Plaza S/c. 10367 Reisterstown Road, Space #3 Owings Mills, MD 21117 12-8 pm Just got back from the AZ stop. It was a 3 hour wait for a 10 minute play through. Though that is a short wait according to the guys with the truck. They said in a previous stop that they had to turn away people that didn't get play. Apparently they didn't restrict you to only one play through. Not sure if that's everywhere or just here in AZ. I'm only gonna point out a few things that struck me as different from Halo 3 because I could go on for a while talking about it. The first thing that struck me was the recoil on the weapons. This is an obvious change seeing as you're an ODST, not a Spartan. Oddly enough, the SMG had less recoil than the other weapons I used. The second thing that came as a surprise is that when you have the VISR on and you get hit, your vision is impaired just enough to be annoying. I wasn't really expecting any penalty for it but now knowing it exists, it makes sense. The third thing I noticed was the throwing of grenades. This kind of goes with the first observation. They appear to go far but half way threw their trajectory, they just fall. Compared to when it leaves your hand, the end isn't as fast. The fourth and last thing I'll mention is the rumble. The rumble is much more intense for all the weapons. I don't usually play with rumble so it was refreshing to have. The truck can seat 16 people. 8 people sit and play while the other 8 sit on the edge. When you get to play, you get to change control setting, map (of which you have 3 to choose from (Alpha Site, Crater and an other I can't remember)) and difficulty. The only two difficulties you can choose from are Normal and Heroic because they are set up to have infinite lives and a 10 minute game time. For participating you get this card like thing that has the ODST squad on one side and the default controls on the other. If you have the most points individually on your squad you win a license plate border that says "My other vehicle is a Warthog." If you had the most points and above 20,000 individual points, you win one of those ODST squad action figures. There's a bit of what to expect from it if you plan on going to one of the stops. If you can get out to one of the locations, definitly do it. Everyone talks Halo and you get to play Firefight early.
Just kinda copy and pasted from the firefight thread. I went to the one in Memphis today and I'm glad I went.
I don't know if it applies any more... If an adult is with you, they'll let you play. I saw several kids with their parents in AZ. You should be O.K. if your parents are there.
You don't need to be 17 at all really, I am 15 and I got on fine, I am pretty sure they just say that to get out of trouble.
I look like I'm 15 but I'm actually 17 and they didn't ask for my I.D. (Which I found kinda surprising) ODST is so awesome I'm glad I was able to play it early. Too bad I couldn't get to play with Roche178 since he just happen to be in Memphis today.
Ouch! That sucks, man. Incidentally, I left at 4. Just out of curiosity, did you see a bigger guy in a black polo exiting the truck and taking pictures of the truck, then getting in a silver car? If so, that was me. If not...
no, i was paying attention to the truck, do you rememeber a white Lexus at any time? also how did you make the image on your sig change
Nah. I was concerned with getting to class on time. I left pretty quickly. The random sig script on my web hosting service. Forgot where I found it. /offtopic
