An animated version of my ODST sig. Just an idea. I'll let you judge how well I implemented it. I may do a v2 with the text changed to "VISR" on the 2nd image.
I like the effect, but you really need to re-do the area around the text (or leave the effect out there. It looks like you missed a lot of the inner edges and whatnot. Otherwise, though, I really like it.
Yeah, I'm with Cosmic - I'd have the text the same in each frame. I like how you've simulated the visor flash from one state to the other, one flashing white to clear, and the other black. Other than that the only other thing I'd bring up is that you can probably optimise it for a quicker page load. 151 kB for a gif that size is larger than I'd expect.
