Pretty cool layout, it has potential to be even greater.. I would of course add more interlocking. Umm this isn't technically MLG because it has SMG's and a Shotgun, too. But i do like the multi-levels and the middle walkway arches are pretty secksy
its no longer an mlg map, thats y it was posted in the competitive section. Xperience v2.1 was built off of the original layout of MLG Xperience. the entire map (minus a few obvious parts where not needed) is interlocked
Very nice layout but some of the structures are uneven, like in the 5th picture the interlocking is slightly bent upwards but it's no big deal if i see but some other people will go crazy about it. 2 plasma granades and 8 granades in a map like this i would try even it out a bit, 5 plasmas and 5 granades. I really enjoy the middle bit oddball would be perfect for this map. Needs moreinterlocking in this map you reaaly need people to look at your map and think it's amazing thats where you will get all your downloads from. 3/5 KEEP FORGING
each base has 4 frags (2 on the platforms in front of the Y tubes on each side, and 2 on the right elbow of each side) and 2 neutral plasma grenades on the second level of the center. which structure is not even in the 5th picture? your the second person to mention interlocking, DONT COMMENT ON THE INTERLOCKING UNTIL YOU PLAY ON THE MAP!!!!! interlocking is throughout the entire map
alright no need to shout, you could scare people away! IMO the overviews of the map do it no justice, it looks very awkward and ugly, I can tell however that the gameplay will be better than it looks and it looks nicely interlocked (see i mentioned it but i havent played the map! also, if i find any grenade holes, you're going down!) I will DL this because the layout looks pretty but maybe a little complicated, i wont complain till ive played it tho...
these sites just frustrate the **** out of me. people spend hours, days or sometimes weeks building a map and then have it bashed or ridiculed just from pictures. the pictures give you an idea of what your downloading. i have this map on 3 different sites and i dont think anyone who has commented has played on the map. i want comments from people who have actually played on the map, not peoples opinions based on pictures. so....anyone who has PLAYED this map, what do you think?
I'm not sure why everyone is putting your map down it looks great! I love the center bridge and it seems like there was alot of work put into it! I'm going to download it and if I don't forget I'll drop back in for some feedback. Great Looking map!
Okay, I got a got a 2v2 and a 4v4 going on this earlier today. There's nothing really wrong with the aesthetics other than a couple pieces of the floor flashing, but gameplay wise it was meh. I constantly fell off the map while sniping especially in the corner area, and whenever I jump anywhere it feels like I'm going to fall off the map. Especially with the tin cup patches. It doesn't look like there's any floor there, making it very conflicting and I try to avoid that area as much as possible. There are a few areas where the bumps are fairly noticeable too.Weapon layout I think was okay, but I personally would have liked it better if the grenades were together instead of them being seperated by a column or something. Spawns worked fine, I don't see any need to change them. What I really liked about the map was how you can get across the map by jumping on various objects, I found that kind of cool and effective in combat for a quick escape or a sneak attack. Okay map, but needs some more tinkering. I favor this for a 2v2. 3/5 Oh, and here's the game stats for one of the games. Look at the carnage tab, and then number of suicides for each player. Most if not all of them were from falling off the edge.
k thanks for the feedback, i wanna wait and get some more feedback before i make anymore changes. im not sure what you mean by the grass areas not having any floor. could you be more specific? i may mess around with the weapons a little more. are you falling off of the elbows from jumping over the rails or falling on the sides with no rails? this map is kind of hard to work with because of the item limit, as most maps are. the only things i can see deleting are the extra grenades (ive gotten alot of complaints about there being so many), the small ramps on the "grassy towers", and the long wedges that sit up on the posts in the middle. im also considering adding oddball as ive gotten alot of comments about it but i'd really like to add more things to make the map play better first. keep the critism coming!!
I mean it doesn't LOOK like there's any flooring where the grass is, and I expect a suicide whenever I jump there. I keep falling off because of the lack of railings on the corners of the maps(like where the sniper spawns), and same with everyone else I played with.
I just downloaded this, and when I get on I will update my post a bit more... From here it looks like it has really amazing strucures, and awesome variations between long lines pf site and convenient close range cover. I almost wish I had caught it in MLG! The only problems I see are camping in the bottom middle structure (the two Y-Intersections) and some places that could and should have been interlocked that were ignored. More later. Edit: Yeah, started playing this while typing, and I basically nailed everything with the interlocking, and the easy camping spots. I dont know how gameplay is, but the spawns almost look like an easy trap if your team knows what they are doing. I realize this seems like a dumb problem, but every map that made matchmaking basically has perfect spawns. Also, I didnt give enough credit to aesthetics. Its obvious this was made to be played on, and that has a really cool effect of making the map seem awesome and unbeleivably pro. 7/10, because of spawns and few bumps. Edit Again: You need more railing, and things to keep you from falling off the map.
