First off, i LOVE the amount of halo sigs that came out! i think it just boosted quite a few of us in terms of tricks up our sleeves when sig making. Now the real reason i posted this, im in yearbook this year, as the assistant editor. me and this other kid are the ONLY ones who know photoshop very well.. i dont even know how good the other kid is.. (clouded did you ever see him do anything?) anyways, the rendering jobs for last years yearbook were HORRIBLE. absolutely crap. that i dont really need help on, i can easily find rendering tutorials.. but anyways... Does anyone know of any tutorials or things i should know for designing a yearbook? idk how many of you guys have done something like that, but if anyone knows LP tutorials that might be something like that, or something that would help me get a head start on things like this, let me know.
Well, I don't have any experience as far as year-book is concerned, but there is a really cool new Photoshop tool/technique I just learned about that is really cool and helpful: kuler This (free, browser-based) Adobe program basically sets up a color palette for you, given a single starting color and whether you want the colors to contrast, complement, etc. I find that this is really helpful with gradient maps and web design, I am sure it will be helpful for print design.
UGH now a **** load of people have the same style. Anyways, can't really help you on the yearbook stuff, sorry.
hmm good point on that lock... and thanks kratos! i used to use that alot but i had forgotten about it! i even had a swatch on the top rated for a while!
