    @ everyone: Let's not get too far into the AZN bashing, shall we? He's not here to defend himself or his work on this map, and it's disrespectful and childish to call him out when he can't respond in kind.

    It's somewhat sad how the person who designed a map has more bearing on it's popularity than the actual map itself. Yes this map isn't perfect but it feels more like people are bashing the map simple because of AZN.

    With that said, Gunner: My friends have created an alternate version of helix that I feel greatly improved gameplay and versatility of this map, hopefully we can get together sometime so I can show you it. It should give you some cool ideas for a V2 of this map.

    Okay, I dont know AZN so I am not bashing him. He also, therefore, has nothing to do with my thoughts on this map. I could care less if he designed it or not. My opinions and suggestions on this map are the same no matter what. The map is the map regardless. I was just stating the fact that I have seen Gunnergrunts work and it is well in his ability to create something awesome on his own, so he should. All the problems I addressed in my previous post are still what I want to know about.

    I was happy to work with AZN and I think we did a pretty good job with the map. I didn't do any of the work on the spawn points so some people may understand them better than myself. I just built the map's structure and whatnot. I agree that there should be more railings on the bottom. I could tell that from the first time i saw the sketchup layout. Personally, I've never had a spawn issue but maybe you guys have played it more than i have (AZN did the majority of the testing).

    I'm glad to know you consider me a talented forger. I don't think AZN was trying to use me in any way. I was the one who wanted to forge his design in the first place. But AZN is gone now and I am free to do whatever I wish with this map. I am very open to suggestions, but I am not sure which feedback to follow. I get so many different opinions about the map that its difficult to know what to change and what to keep. So far, i would like to fix railings (I like Zombie's idea of removing the stone bridges), and I think it would be wise to remove the turrets as well. As for spawns, there are only 18 on the map. I am willing to double that rework the spawn areas. You guys said it should have spawns out in the map instead of at the bases. I will place more in the grass and some in the ribs.

    Mickraider, I would like to see the changes you and your friends made to the map. And if anyone would like to help me fix this map up for a second version, I'd appreciate it. Vorpal, I hear you are very good with spawns. Maybe you'd like to help me with this map in exchange for what we talked about?

    Thanks Squid. I don't want people bashing AZN. He's a good guy.

    Once again, I'm willing to make all the neccessary changes to this map to help gameplay reach its potential. And if anyone wants to help with a v2, that would be great. I'd give you map credit it you'd like.

    Thats the spirit, LOL. Yeah, it wouldnt hurt the beauty of the map whatsoever to get rid of those bridges in exchange for cover down below. As for adding spawn points, whats your item limit look like? Do you have another version that still has the original spawns? That could be a pain. Its good to see your open to suggestions, at first I thought you wereent and you were being closed minded. Sorry bout that. If you want, I will help you out with some ideas, but I dont want credit. I feel that a person must actually do some work in the map to get credit. If you want a little help from me, send me a friend request.

    Yeah this map has tons of items left to work with (but no budget) so I'll take you up on that friend request offer soon. Thanks Zombie! I'll probably build the v2 this weekend (dang school). If anyone else has any suggestions, now it the time to speak

    I put a post with more explanation of stuff on another site, but i'll put some stuff here to.

    - bring back tripmines. I think you deleted them, but they worked very well in my opinion. Put them on the bottom path, sort of in the middle of it.

    - move the sniper where teh trip mine used to be, and put the BR on the lower path where teh sniper was

    - replace the turrets with something, maybe just leave the needler there by itself

    - like others have said, have more railing on the bottom, you could remove those stone bridges like people have been suggesting

    - i think thats it

    Just to let you know, I haven't had any spawn problems. I personally hate it when people try and break games, because normally it ends with me leaving the game. Its just dumb for people to do that.

    At first, it looked like conquest, because of the first pic. Then I saw that it was you who made it, and that furthered my Hunch then I scrolled down and that's about the time where I thought to myself, there is no way in hell this is a conquest map. It's just to multi pathed. Thankfull it's a ctf based map from what I gather and it a sexy one at that, I awed at the first pic, then let my jaw just drop whilst I scrolled down... And then ibwent back to read the text. That's where my jaw snapped shut, and I bit my tounge, AZN, one of the people I looked up to, is gone... This can only mean one thing the year is actually 2552 and somebody is in china right now, secretly running the unsc, and they are slowly picking our best forgers to come build battlefields for Spartan training. Think about it, first furious D 18, now AZN FTW, they are taking our archetects one by one.

    Anyway, this map is probably going to be the next feature and gunnergrunt will make his way one step closer to Azn and furious d 18.

    At first glance, this map looks very impressive. The layout is very unique and the forging is top notch. But there are some flaws, and those have already been pointed out so I'm not gonna bring them up again. I'm not trying to bash this map or anything, but a few small changes could help. I played on the version that MickRaider has, and it has a few simple changes that really brings out the best of this map in my opinion. I highly recommend that you check out this version and at least see what I'm talking about. Keep up the great forging!

    We've been playing a TON of customs on this map. Almost every night for the past couple weeks. This has given us some good ideas for improvement and game play, and we have taken it upon ourselves to make changes per our player's suggestions. Sorry if this offends you, but we just loved the map soo much and we just wanted to switch up some things a bit.

    The small list of changes:
    -Added some tube sections down below for added cover.
    -Added a ramp from the bottom of the bases to the mid and top as another way to get around.
    -Added, at the bottom of each base, a man cannon to top mid as another way to get the flag out and to speed up map movement.
    -Took out the 2nd course of double blocks in the center structure and added rockets.
    -I believe there were some changes to equipment as well, but I started attacking this awesome beast after this slight tweak.
    -And I added a butt load of spawn points to the map by adjusting some spawn areas and things that didn't effect the original design of the map.

    There may be a couple other small changes to the base structures, but as it stands the meat of your guys' map is all there, and that's the reason we keep playing it.

    I don't want to post a link to the map under your post, but if you would like to take a look at it just hit me up, or you can post under here giving me permission.

    And like you said, "Now is the time to speak", so hopefully we didn't butcher your guys' map too bad, and maybe you wont have to spend ALL weekend on this map haha.

    I hate when people do this, everyone when we were testing hadn't suggested anything you changed. Also if you made the map worse, then people will think that Thats how Gun an AZN made it. So please do'nt change maps..
    Anyway, Getting back to topic, I really love this map, and fell in love with it when I joined a Forge game where there was only the upper part of the map, and I knew it would succeed. I'm reccomending to get featured. :)

    Short Bizzle, I watched a game film sent to me by One Nondual of the altered Helix. The map seemed to play well but I couldn't get a full feel of it from the video. The changes i liked most were the tube pieces along the bottom path (i had the same idea yesterday). I would like to get a copy of the map myself or at least play some customs with you guys on it. I'm glad you like the map and wish to make it play its best.

    Hey buddy, it's cool you watched that film I sent you. We played it again last night (with 6V6 no less!) and the game was a insanely fun. I'm putting the Alternate version in my file share now and will send it to you. I actually don't even want in my file share at all, because I altered a few things just for our group of friends and didn't really want to map to get out.

    Short Bizzle did a great job cleaning up my not to great forging, and making the back ramp better. I was thinking of adding some type of corner tube to the bottom walkway, and it was Short's idea to add the two tube pieces. I really think they work well, it's cool you like them too.

    The map is amazing and plays amazing without the changes. People loved the map but kept suggesting things, so I thought I would change things up a little to and see how it played. People have really been liking it, but we would have no original map without you. I know I've already told you this like 5 times, but thanks a TON for making this. You are an amazing forger.

    Whenever you want to come do some customs with us, I'll get you in no matter what. You get top priority, especially if you want to do some play tests on this. We might even be playing tonight. Just let me know.

    Also I put last night's game in my fileshare just in case you wanted to watch it.

    Sweet dude thanks for checking that out!!

    I'm glad you were mature about us tweaking the map a bit, and an opinion from the creator would much appreciated! Nondual plans on hoping on tonight around 7 PST. I hope you can jump in our game to at least check this out. I know you cant really get the gist from just the video, and a play test will give you a better feeling of the map.

    Let me know what you think if i cant get home in time for tonight.

    This reminds me of the Halo campaign level, The Arbiter. Mainly when you get to the part where you go back inside.

    My first thoughts on this was that it is hella lotta fun lol. Nice map friend.
