One-12 Download Link: Here After lengthy testing and reforging, One-12 has finally hit the forums. This is a symmetrical map forged in the Crypt area of Sandbox. This map started out as an Asymmetrical map, but through testing and the guidance of Mick Raider, decided to make it into a Symmetrical map. It consists of 2 bases that surround a courtyard and sniper bridge. Each area is connected by bridges which allow the player to access any part of the map without touching the ground section of the map. I want to take this time to thank MickRaider, Oh Knarly, and Ehand88 for constantly checking in on this map to give me feedback. Lots of reforging and new ideas came which made this map alot better than it was previously. Thanks for the props man, Just one small thing there's no space in MickRaider Overall this map is great, the layout is very unique creating a lot of separation and map movement. Clean geomerges and interlocks really compliment it as a whole. Definitely a map people should download.
All right then...4th to last pic? Why is that double wall like AHHHH! That really got my attention because the map from the pictures looks well rounded and neat. The bridge looks super sweet, and the courtyard has a good design to it. That middle might have outdone mine on Iniquitous but not quite. Noo... Mick Raider, you deserve it, I can even see where he took your help. Its nice to see a group work as a team!
i played it for like 3 times but i liked it even if it was open in some areas there was always a good spot to fight at.....even i could get ontop of the blue base =P anyways it's a good map and i recommended it. 4.5/5
Amazingly well done Esorath, you've put not only alot of work into this, but you spent i believe almost a month testing this, you've also put alot of effort into this, im glad your finaly done this, and ready for new things =D Its really a great map, Weapon Placement couldn't be any better this is honestly one of the best maps i'v ever seen in halo, its balanced, wether one person has a mauler and the other has a BR, the BR sometimes beats the Mauler the, and the Mauler sometimes beats the BR, thats the same with the sniper, Excellently well done Esorath it couldn't be any better. 10/10
Looks pretty impressive, although not at tight as it could be. Great work on merging all that grass though, if that is what you have done.
Nice. Finally your are able to show off all your hard work. I remember first seeing the asymmetrical version of this map, and I must say that changing it to this symmetrical version was a great move. The layout is great, offering multiple routes to get from any point to another on the map. There is also a nice variety of weaponry, promoting a good balance of close and long range battles. I love it when you walk out of your base at the start of a game and you see the opposing team walking out, and right then you know that its about to throw down. I haven't played the infection version, but I'm sure it would be fun as well. Nice work Esorath, and to everyone out there who hasn't played One-12, be sure to give it a try. P.S. First of all Eso, I want to commend you for the time you took making and testing this map. I was impressed when you first showed it to me and it has had a lot of changes since then, the most significant being the transfer from asymmetrical to symmetrical which really improved the flow of gameplay. The great thing about the forging in One-12 is that you have interlocked and geo-merged only when necessary, the main focus being on gameplay and it pays off. I've had some very fun and competitive games on One-12 and I think I prefer FFA slayer but Team Slayer works just as well. The weapon placement is perfect which is a testament to the time you put into this and there are some very nice, original stuctures which I've not seen anywhere else. I believe that this map is good enough to stay competitive and enjoyable for a long time. All that is left to say is this, go DL One-12! P.s. I'll take the $100 in cheque so it can't be traced.
I remember this map. I also remember spending half the game working on the wrong lien of symmetry and getting really confused. Man, it's changed a lot. So many weapon swaps since our game on it. The first thing that struck me was how clearer the courtyard is without that vibrant blue. Much better. My favourite part of playing this map was the tactical jumps that didn't feel obvious, and therefore very satisfying to pull off. It's nice to see you've added more. Did you touch the the small issue of cover inside the base? I remembed in the game the main base floor felt too open. I'll give this a download and play an updated version, but it was great fun to play before you made tweaks, so undoubtably the final product will be a riot. ~Katanga
Good map ! I love your idea of some building for the red base and the blue base . The courtyard looks good your sniper bridge are good to ! I dont have negative comments so i give you a 5/5 for your good forging and interlocking !
Good looking map. Everything looks pretty smooth although some parts could really use some tweeking when it comes to interlocking. Either way good map although I couldn't call it epic. BTW, what's up with the 'tactical jump' video. Those are hardly tactical.
always bringing up iniquitous are we? lol. the map looks clean and smooth, except for the double wall being used as a roof, but that doesnt matter. looks as if it'd play quite a few well thought out games on it and you have my dl.
Thanks for all the positive feedback. I agree that some things could be cleaner. but this right now was at the best of my ability and to what the map itself needed to work out. somethings had to be avoided in order to fit in the budget and the OLN
nice map... was thinking about making somthing like this but now... that would just be copieing XD. oh well.
