PLANET TERROR From the mind of MuffinMcFluffin (a.k.a Tanner) comes perhaps the most unoriginal, yet most playable Sandtrap Infection Map Varient ever created: PLANET TERROR! Link to map: PLANET TERROR Link to gametype: PLANET TERROR History of PLANET TERROR: Created early in November of 2007, this map has been host to an uncountable multitude of PLANET TERROR Infection games. MuffinMcFluffin didn't know at the time that his map would become a favorite among all his friends, but now PLANET TERROR gets more votes than Sharks on Jaws when we play Infection online and at LAN parties. PLANET TERROR has been played extensively since its release. I myself have been in at least 25+ booked (16 player) matches online and at LAN parties. MuffinMcFluffin asked me one day if I would make a Forge Hub page for his map, and of course I agreed. It is, after all, my favorite Infection map. So... Basically, we love PLANET TERROR, everytime we log into XBL we play at least one match, and one day our hope is to join an Open Party and find PLANET TERROR giving complete strangers a good time. Description: PLANET TERROR can best be described as a fairly balanced map for both Humans and Zombies. There are scattered teleporters throughout the map, all lead to strategic holds. There are vehicles placed all throughout the map for the Humans to use. The Zombies (if used with the correct gametype) have 300% speed and 50% gravity. Alpha Zombies start with Swords and Gravity Hammers, while their victims start only with a Sword. PLANET TERROR has several places for Humans to hold their own, but 99% of the time they fall victim to the enslaught of the Zombies. The map has two teleporters that lead to useful sniping spots, but be careful! There are two "Outposts" on the map (not including the Main Base) that are rushed by Zombies and foolish Humans at the beginning of most games... There is so much else I could say about this map, but a picture speaks 1000 words, so I'll let the JPEGs to the talking! Pictures: The Main Base is where Humans spawn 90% of the time (the other 10% is Outpost Alpha). Again, as a Human, you spawn either here or at Outpost Alpha. 'Nuff said. The rush to the Armory (shown here) can best be described as "cut-short". This teleporter is reached quite easily by zombies, not so for humans. Basically, this is the top of the main base, a continuation of the armory. It's in a very obvious place, but you would be surprised how many people miss it. The all-mighty Sniper Tower, with a Sniper and Beam Rifle... watch out for the Gravity Hammers! Behold: Outpost Alpha, right below the Sniper Tower. Zombies usually spawn in the downed UNSC ship (not shown). This is Outpost Ghost, the name speaks for itself. The only Splazer on the map, though I don't recommend it for much. A mine field leading up to Outpost Ghost... Maybe that Splazer will come in handy after all. Thanks for looking into PLANET TERROR! Welcome to Hell! Have a nice stay. Please, comment, rate and play! Sincerely, Tanner (MuffinMcFluffin) and Scott (PCXVII)
Re: PLANET TERROR- Welcome to Hell! Forgive the double post, but somebody HAS to have played this by now!
Re: PLANET TERROR- Welcome to Hell! There is no forgiveness for double posts, you've been warned. If that many people are playing it and loving it, tell one of the 400 players (25 x 16) to post on your map. It looks interesting, but, as you said, completely unoriginal. If the map is that good, you should try using your talents for another creative map. =)
Re: PLANET TERROR- Welcome to Hell! I didn't mean different players, it's usually the same group of 50 guys. And I didn't make the map, one of my friends did and asked me to make a Forge Hub for it.
Re: PLANET TERROR- Welcome to Hell! Well invite said friend to GorgeFub, so we can get to know him. =)
