Oh please no... I do so hate that tug-of-war gametype. Back and forth over and over again, all the while my TV blairing "Territory lost, Territory cap-Territory Lost!"

I would suggest Double XP or The all-exciting-Action-Sack Because conquest would be amazing as its own playlist like a Hardcore team game, but Bungie wouldn't do that. They're too predictable
Conquest would probably be the best in Action Sack, considering it'll be more well received and would be a great first step in eventually getting it its own playlist. It basically all comes down to how many people outside of ForgeHub will enjoy it.
Yeah we're aiming for Action Sack at the very least. If we can get it that far, we'll go from there, using the XBL reaction to determine what comes next. Who knows, it might even get its own playlist someday
If you think about it, people who play Action Sack accept gametypes like Team Splasers and the like because it's in Action Sack and isn't taken as serious as say, Multi Flag in Social Skirmish. Therefore, if Conquest were to start out in Action Sack and is eventually more widely received and eventually taken more seriously by players, then bumping it up to Social Skirmish, or even it's own playlist, will be a logical option.
Really? Action sack? I tend to think of action sack as the playlist that people don't take seriously or ever know what they're doing, and don't put in half an effort because there is no reward from it. In a playlist like this, I also think all the inexperienced players would quit at the sight of the territories picture, and this is a playlist where teams need to be perfectly balanced to be fun.
I think Action Sack would be a good way to introduce it to the XBL community, but Double XP Weekend would be an even better start. I would like to see Conquest in something other than Action Sack, but I would be happy if we got it in at least that. And it'll probably be like the other games that take a while to understand. Like the Zeus game.. Its takes a game or two to really understand what to do and how the scoring works. I think Conquest would be a little more self explanatory
I support this,as i love a good game of conquest. but the main problem is that people will find a way to cheat,even though we have already did our best to make it cheat proof.
What do you mean by cheat? The gametype is perfect as it is. The only way someone could cheat is by breaking a map. But if we only use perfect Conquest maps, we shouldn't have any problems. Friendly fire is disabled so there's really no way single person could ruin a game...
Which is why it can't be in action sack, if someone starts to lose, they quit. That's how the action sack playlist works, because everyone sucks but me.
Action Sack is meant for a "fun" playlist. If you're playing srs then you shouldn't be in it. If conquest were to be in MM then it either be AS or DBLXP.
I think Conquest would fit perfectly as a Double XP Weekend, and would also be a nice addition to Action Sack. Whatever you guys are doing to get it into matchmaking, put me down as helping.
When it comes down to it, I don't think we'll be the ones deciding what playlist it goes into. That decision will be made by Bungie (Shishka) after we present Conquest to them...
DXP is where it would inevitably work best, I play action sack a lot for a fun time with guests, and from my experience, it's more for casual gametypes then competitive ones where one person could ruin the experience for a whole team.
