SKY TEMPLE Sky Temple is an asymmetrical map built in the Sky Bubble on Sandbox. It was designed for 4 to 8 players, and Matchmade games such as FFA, Team Doubles, and Team Slayer. The game types that it supports are, CTF, Slayer, KOTH, and Assault. This map is almost completely fused so that it is a smooth surface. It's also not the first version of this map, it about the fifth. I hope you enjoy this map, and please leave feedback so that I can in prove on it. hey you asked me to tell you about the map in a message and I thought a reply would be better so here we go, at first the map itself looks flawless, really well layed-out and forged, there's indeed plenty of cover and there's loads of features such as the sniper tower, teleporter, tunnel and assymetric bases, this gives a huge variation of gameplay. however the map looks flawless alright, though the sniper might be overpowering because of it's two clips, anyway, throughout the pictures I'm barely able to think of sniping and looking at cover and enemies from it's spawn, there might be good cover, but you know one good sniper and it's game over for the other team, however I can't precisely tell if this is gonna be a true problem or not, so far for this problem then I thought, but while noticing the OV my thoughts changed, look a sniper isn't a big deal, though as I know with trigger happy fingers and a great aim, Sniper + OV = Rampage (a.k.a. Epic Win) so that's one thing to fix up. At any rate the map looks great probably plays great (with me thinking of a few flaws) this map is probably.....freaking awesome ;D
No offence but the central area of your map looks to be very boring due to the lack of undulation. Also there seems to be a severe lack of useful cover. I do like how you have incorporated the tunnel system into it though.
umm, i would recommend getting rid of the kill ball, it makes an annoying noise and is too bright! unless it is necesseary to keep people out of somewhere...? also, is the floor smooth? especially with tube pieces involved it could get quite bumpy. finally i wouldn't say 'random pictures' put a description with them, it helps. all in all 3/5 from me
Thanks for the input. I am working on a v2 of this map and will take all of your suggestions and try to use them as much as possible. It may take a little time with school starting and the amount of interlocking involved, thanks again.
To improve the center of the map, I would suggest some form of centerpiece that is both aesthetically enticing aswell as good for gameplay instead of having multiple small pillars scattered around. Also, remove the killball unless it serves some kind of purpose, otherwise it just draws your eyes to that part of the map, which may not necessarily be where you want the focus of the map to be.
