I like rock and metal because it is deep and black like my soul. But really, I like old punk. New punk is **** except for the Black lips and they aren't entirely punk.
I don't really have a specific genre that I listen to. My favorite genres would be classic rock, hard rock and RnB. Favorite band: Aerosmith Favorite Artist: Kanye West.
My tastes are mainly in the Psychedelicia genus, which includes such Genres as Shoegaze, Dreampop, Psychedelic Rock, and Neo-Psychedelic. I also enjoy New Wave/New Romantic music from the 80s. I play in a Psychgaze band. However, I love Iron Maiden, classic rap, jazz, and some punk. Favorite band: The Smashing Pumpkins
My favorit music would have to be grundge and metal. I like them cause if im depressed i got the grundge or if im mad at the world i got the metal so i got music for every occasion.
I think that classifying something into a genre takes a lot of the individuality away from a band. If a band makes music and intentionally goes out of their way to sound like a certain "genre" then it is generic crap.
I'm all about that Rap/Hip-Hop..nothin' like slappin' a dope song and kickin ass on Halo ya diggggg..
first of all, its grunge, not grundge, secondly, its just a bunch of whiny singers whining about life.
I don't mind listening to anything (except the music from Halo 3's main menu (god that's annoying)), but my personal favourite is metal and rock. My favourite bands at the moment are ACDC, Wolfmother and Weezer.
Its weird to say but my favorite genre of Music would be Heavy Metal (and plenty of sub-genres like Metalcore) and Techno/electro(Which for me is more ElectroHouse for me). However i do listen to classical rock like AC/DC, Metallica, and Megadeth here and there.
I like Alternative because it holds a good mix of soft(er) and hard(er) rock than just plain Rock music.
